I'm not much good at shooters, but I picked up Jedi Knight II awhile back after borrowing the game from a friend and saw that managing an arsenal wasn't needed for most of the game -- I played almost the entire game using a lightsaber and force powers, and had a lot more fun then I usually do with shooters -- no ammo management, the lightsaber made defense a lot easier, etc.

Well, when I talked with my friend later about how I had played the game, he was surprised. It hadn't occured to him to try that, and he had played most of the game using fire power, only using the lightsaber and force abilities when required.

So, those of you who played the game, I'd like to hear how you did it, what you found easier to use: force power or fire power?

see I think that people were too caught up to think that you were a jedi and your best weapon is the saber...

I hella used the saber....I only used guns for fun kills afterward...

I think your friend was in the minority.  Most people who've played the game have agreed that the sabre and force powers are the most fun things in the game.

Sabers were definatly more fun, but sometimes I would have to use guns like underwater monsters and AT-STs.  At least they give you a choice unlike in Outcast where you pretty much have to use the saber because all the guns suck.

Ohhhhhhhhh....if he means Jk2 then I used the saber all the time.  I thought the jk2 singleplayer sucked though compared to jk1 and dark forces.  I'm looking forward to jedi acadamy.
