| Deleted User | I am currently a contractor working at Eastman Kodak Company's Hawkeye Building in Rochester, NY. There I image new computers, re-image old computers and deliver and install computers for the customers that need them. We currently have a ton of new hires coming in to Kodak here. So, I'm definitely able to stay busy here!

I am a high school grad., and I worked in retail for about 10 years, till last year, when Kmart decided to fire some of their employees, and I was one of them, after 6 years there. I am very good with customers and the public. I always wished I could have been some sort of a councilor. Everyone at work then, would always tell me their problems and everything......wanting advice from me. Now, I have been out of work for a year. Applied for my disability for the fibromyalgia and depression. This past year has been very rough on me, and I do hope the New Year will be alot better........ :-/

Status : Online | Hi there.
Well, seeing as it seems to be mostly computer-related people here, I thought I'd chalk one up for the non computer-related side!
I'm a business journalist, working in Aberdeen, Scotland. I don't know ANYTHING about programming/drawing/creating games but have been playing adventure games for a good 10+ years now and find the discussions very interesting (even if the technical bits go over my head somewhat).
We find it VERYYY difficult to get hold of adventure games here, the only ones I've seen sold in "mainstream" shops in the last few years are MI, TLJ and a few other LucasArts games. Plus, they retail at around GBP 30. What's that - $45 or so? Very frustrating....so mostly have to resort to ebay and the like...

Status : Online | Hi I am 24 years old and I am attending a vocational education till end of March.
If I should suceed I am going to be a registered masseur and moreover start looking for a job.
In addition I am going to have to attend further modules (which costs a lot of money, I hope it will pay off someday) to gain better qualifications (and probably get better, well paid jobs)
Beforehand I finished school to get my "general qualification for univ. entrance" (which is worth a ) worked at stores (e.g. Toys R Us) as a sales clerk and warehouseman, and performed alternative civilan service for one year at a curative-pedagogical kindergarten.

I'm always pleased when someone takes a few moments to thank the team. It means a lot to us all and is why we're working so hard to make BS3 the best possible.
Best of luck with your education.

Found the Math field at the time too impersonal and ended up in Social Service and then Education. Currently am a Graduate Gemologist (just completed my training) /goldsmith/jeweler.
Good pure adventure games are a wonderful mind exerciser and relaxer. If I was younger and going through school now, would probably have gotten involved in animation for adventure games and/or movies. Sigh!
Still adventuring after all these years!

Who knows? Not that I am aware of. It seems many lifetimes ago. I guess those were the folks who wrote the WATFOR and WATFIV compilers for FORTRAN.

| Deleted User | I missed this interesting topic! Talking about having a big forum which has so many topics to reply to yet so little time!
I'm finishing my Degree this August.Yipppieee. I'm majoring in Computing and Information Systems(Northumbria University,Newcastle);long distance actually. Somehow from what I've learnt throughout these couple of years is similar to computer science with additional business courses. Before this I took a Diploma in Computer Science.
I've never experienced working before and after graduating I'm thinking of taking my Masters. I don't know when I'll stop studying.
Personally I think that everyone in this forum has interesting jobs. Wow! A brain surgeon!
The most interesting job that I can think of now is being a game developer.

Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of under-achievers! We're gonna stand up, and we're gonna be human beings. We're going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.
