Here is My Review for one of my all time favourite games.

Discworld Noir made by Perfect Entertainment continues the Dicsworld Computer Game Saga. After 2 highly sucessful games with Rincewind as the main character the developers under the advisement of Terry Pratchet has come up with another game that has all the qualities of a Discoworld Game and an old 1940's Detective Movie. This is a parody of all those movies all in one box.

The Game starts off like most Noir Movies of the 1940's with a femme fatal entering the office of the Detective and our Friend Lewton. The main character of the game just happens to be a likeable detective who has enough irony and wit up his sleeve to fill a shirt of a very large Troll. Our Hero is set the case of finding the femme fatal's lover who returned to town a couple of days ago but failed to meet her. Seems kind of a standard case but as the story progresses more plot strands open up like Pandora has just opened a box labeled "Plots" and unleashed them into the story. Just as you find the mysterious lover the story takes a highly imaginative twist and the lover is vicously slain. Our hero then takes it upon himself to investigate his murder and several other murders that have happened around the City of Ankh-Morpork. As so leads turn into other leads until one giant monster from the dungeon dimensions is terrorising the city. All in a days work for Lewton.

Story: The Story in Discworld Noir is worthy of a film itself with many exciting and unexpected plot twists along the way. Then end of Act 2 being the best twist I have seen in a game in ages.

Graphics: The graphics are all in 3d and suit the style of the game. As the game was made in 1999 the graphics don't hold up by todays standards but they are still quite good. One aspect I do like is that as far as I know all the cutscenes were done using the ingame engine which I quite like.

Atmosphere: This developers of Discworld Noir have managed to create the dark side of Ankh-Morpork not seen in the first 2 Discworld games. The city has a hugh noir fealing to it and really suits the story.

Music/SFX: Probably one of the best aspects of the game. The Music is tremendous and fits in perfectly with the game. Not once was I annoyed with the music. The Voice Acting was also done well even though only a few actors actually provided the voices and some characters sounded very like other characters I was not detracted from the enjoyment of this game.

Difficulty: I would rate this game as a medium difficulty game. Although there are not any puzzles as you would expect in other adventure games a lot of actuall detective work is involved. One of the aspects I loved was the putting of clues together and coming up with a conclusion from them.

Interface: Even though many people have reported several bugs in Discworld Noir I have not come across any. I was able to complete the game from start to finish without ever coming across a problem with the game.
You control Lewton with the mouse and the cursor represents a flashlight and text labels pop up when ever you come across anything important. Right clicking on an object or suspect looks at the thing in question and left clicking and double clicking interacts with that object.

Overall I would Give this Game 9 out of 10 due to the large amount of enjoyment I have got by playing detective in Terry Pratchetts crazy world of Trolls, Dwarfs and Wizards.

So Play It again Sam.
Its not the winning the losing or the taking part that counts. Its the way you cheat.

I totally agree with your review and I'm only halfway through act 2.  I can't get over how clever the dialog is.  Most enjoyable!

Still adventuring after all these years!

Patiently awaiting The Last Crown: Haunting of Hallowed Isle, and Bracken Tor...

... and Asylum if it's not tooooo scary...

Then end of Act 2 being the best twist I have seen in a game in ages.

You can say that again!  Halfway through Act 3 just now.  Wow!
This is surely one of the MOST AMAZING GAMES!  How did we miss it back in '99?

This game was so much fun to play and was visually stunning, I loved the music as well, the dialogue and the movies/cut scenes!

I would really love them to bring out another in this line...
