Deleted UserHow completely satisfying and addictive is this game? I swapped Haegemonia for it, as I'd gotten to a point where I couldn't take it anymore. For some reason my campaign wouldn't finish midway through a level, and I'd gotten so far that going back to the beginning wasn't an option any more... too much too-ing and fro-ing. Very frustrating...

However, Medieval is the most intuitive strategy game I've ever played. All point n click. It's like a strategy adventure!

Pitting 10,000 men against eachother on a hillside is really, really something. It's really incredible how you can start out so organised, and everything go so wrong. Making sneak attacks, hiding out in woods, pushing over bridges and firing at castles from a distance with huge ballista's. Wow.

Plus the campaign mode is simple and challeging. Forge alliances, go to war, send out assasins, sell off princes to gain favours, build up an empire and act like a total asshole. It's great! As for the sound fx, man... full on battle fun and great music.

I can't reccomend it enough!

Deleted UserI know what you mean. My boyfriend got addicted to it for a while. It's like chess. You have to have good strategy to rule the world.

So Hegemonia is bad?

I was thinking about getting Medieval but then with all the units it has, it looks kinda confusing trying to manage them all.  Is it easy controlling armies that big?  I usually end up confusing myself in strategy games with big armies like in Myth where you have to set groups and keep switching between them.

I'll have to get a demo sometime.

Deleted UserIt didn't take long for me to quit Haegemonia. About ten minutes. It SUCKED. I hated it and it's still in the rack. Didn't know what to do with it.

Well at least I know to avoid it now.  Honestly I probably would never get it unless it was 10-15 dollars or something because I never really cared for Homeworld either which won tons of awards.

Deleted UserHeagemonia (correct spelling
) wasn't that bad... I just got to a point where I didn't know what to do whatsoever. I liked the RPG style of collecting captains to improve your fleet, it looked great but the battles were really, really awful. It was just a bunch of really confused ships flying away and towards targets firing, rather than actually doing anything and you had no strategic control.

I haven't played Medieval in a while - I've finished Indy recently, and will get back to it. Indy has the most sucky game ending ever...  >
