| Deleted User | Aliens Vs Predator 2 - the Marine missions. Jumped out of my skin whenever an Alien appeared, and that bit with the Predalien scared the cach outta me.
Silent Hill 2 also freaked me out, but not in a direct, scary way... just pyschologically.

The Marine missions for AvP 2 were awesome. Especially the early ones.
I remember that Shivers made me jump once or twice.

LOL Of course, I was only 14 at the time when I first played it and it was my first game with a Teen rating, so no wonder I was jumpy. There were two instances where sometimes you'd see a person's moving shadow in the supposedly empty museum. That was a little creepy.

Let's just say I was in some pain until I was more scared of peeing my pants than any shadows BTW, I was only 10 or so when I first played shivers.

Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of under-achievers! We're gonna stand up, and we're gonna be human beings. We're going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.

I never really found T7G scary, but the last time I played it I was under 10 (15 now) so I always found Stauf's voice funny.

About "", this game is really worth the try, although really short (2h). The realisation is perfect and the shocking finale is brilliant!

Very similar to Sys Shock 2 in a way (things jumping out on you, panels unexpectedly exploding...)
I remember Realms of the Haunting being pretty creepy too.
I didn't find Phantasmagoria frightening at all. More revolting! The end was an adrenaline rush I admit.
Agree about the Alien vs Predator games too. Very very scary when an alien or predalien appears out of nowhere... not to mention the distant scuttle of face hugger... god, I hated those things!

And the Thief series also have a lot of scary levels. If you've played the 1st game, you know what I'm talking about. The ghost levels really freaked me out.

Silent Hill 2 on the other hand... freaky!

That said, the scariest game I've played would have to be Thief, which happens to have zombies, undead, etc. Basically having to play it with the lights out and the sound up and being on edge the entire time and never knowing what you're going to come across - yikes. The first time I ran into a zombie scared me a bit, but the first time I had a dead Hammerite run at me so fast, aaaaaaah!

I thought I was the only one that liked that game. Unfortunately but PSX broke before I finished it, and I can't play it on my new one [s]cause it doesn't have a mod-chip[/s].
I must say that I love the story. Think it's based on a book or something, and there are two "" movies aswell.

In both cases the "" stands for "racula" I think, but the two games are completely unrelated.
For the record - I never played the PSX game, I think that Vampire Hunter D is a pretty cool movie (especially Bloodlust, the one the PSX game is based on) and that the PC game D sucks (mostly because it's incredibly short).

Haven't seen the movies, can't find 'em. Isn't one of them a quite new manga film? Is that Bloodlust?
