Tough call. Both I guess but you wanted an answer, so I probably say Under a Killing Moon.
I am an old Tex Murphy Fan and my number one Tex game is Pandoras Directive.
Good Luck !!

Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of under-achievers! We're gonna stand up, and we're gonna be human beings. We're going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.

But looking at your name 'Harley 77', perhaps it's better to try "Full throttle" from Lucas Arts.

Would be different if you said "Pandora Directive"! All three games are great, it's not an easy choice. What the... Get all of them!
Another argument is the compatibility with newer machines. GK3 is the better choice here.

Status : Online | Thanks for the replies, My only other Tex Murphy experience is with Meanstreets back when it first came out (loved that game), and GK1 was the only one I've played in the GK series. But looks like I'll have a little longer to ponder the decision as I was compelled to pick up Syberia yesterday. So I'll be involved with that for awhile .

Status : Online | Tex Murphy reigns! UAKM would be great, but only if followed closely by Pandora Directive (the best one of the series). If the choice was between those two, Pandora Directive...hands down.
Sorry, but I bought GK3, played it and was not only bored, but very irritated with Gabe's voice (Tim Curry). Thumbs down in my book.
But as dimi said...Syberia is a good choice also. Although too short IMHO, it's one of the best.

And I've only played the first Gabriel Knight, but it's a lot of fun.
