It's great to see the JA+ Forum up and running again!  Welcome back!
 

I'm having a problem getting this game to work.  I cannot seem to get the picture to stop hopping around the screen like a Mexican jumping bean.  At the risk of revealing a little too much personal information, the picture flickers like a cheap motel TV.
 I have a Dell laptop, Inspirion 8100, running Windows XP Home Edition.  

I have been to the DreamCatcher website and NONE of the suggestions have worked.  True, I spent the last 3 hours downloading updates and even a driver update, playing with my settings and checking Direct X, but none of this has made a dent in the problem.:


Does anyone recognize this problem or have any suggestions?

Status : Offline		Are you able to reduce graphics acceleration?
I don't know how to do this in XP since I have Win 98.

Thanks for your advice.  It is the correct advice, I just couldn't figure out how to decrease it in XP.  I thought I tried everything and then, yesterday, I finally figured out how to do it.  

To decrease hardware acceleration you have to go into the Control Panel.  Click on the Diplay icon.  Then click on Settings and, once there, click on the Advanced tab.  It's a little confusing since there is also a Troubleshoot button there, but you have to ignore it.  Once you're in the Advanced frame, there is a Troubleshoot tab.  THERE is the pesky little Hardware Acceleration bar.
 To get my game to work I had to massively decrease the acceleration.

I suppose this will work for any XP user having the same trouble as I did.

I use Windows XP when I play an old game.
I use the program compatibility wizard. Click start, point
to programs, accessaries and click on program compatibility wizard
