Although I enjoy most forms of Adventure games, there's no doubt that my favorite are the point & click games closest to the Myst/Riven format & feel. I'd like to know which games others found to be closest. I've compiled an initial list. Would appreciate suggested additions (or deletions- my feelings won't be hurt
).

Morpheus
Secrets of the Luxor
Amerzone
Amber
Beyond Time
The Crystal Key
The Mystery of the Nautilus
Riddle of the Sphinx
Rhem

Hi SirDave,
I think you want to add Dark Fall to your list.  I haven't played  it yet (am planning to buy it), but it looks like a first person slide show format.  Al the reviews I've read have been very positive.  Apparently, it's a scary one.

You have to order it from the developer, here's the link.

Dark Fall is a must

Also, Timelapse and Reah.

If you're into puzzles that will make your brain explode, definitely play Reah.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I have Timelapse (guess I should have added it to the list!).

Must admit I'm not familiar with Reah- any suggestions for the best place to get it?

Keep adding to the list everybody; I'm on a mission from God!!

Deleted UserI think that Schizm is another title for you to look at.  I have not played it but I understand that it is along the lines of MYST and is very difficult.  A number of people that I communicate with who almost never use a walkthrough used one here.

You might want to try Lighthouse (Sierra?) which was a great Myst clone.   Also, I agree, Schizm (Snizzum, Sniptfzum) would be right up your alley.  Very challenging as well.

Deleted UserI just thought of another one.  Zork Nemesis.  This is not your usual humerous Zork game.  It is dark and brooding - some puzzles - lots of atmosphere - interesting story.

Thanks Harriet and Freddie. I've got both Lighthouse and Schizm, but haven't played them yet-will add them to the list. Since these games seem to disappear soon after release, I'm stockpiling them- takes me a few weeks to finish the average game! The plan though is to preferentially play the Myst/Riven-type games first.

The retailers are doing well by me- just ordered Dark Fall based on the suggestions above.

My understanding is that Schizm comes from the same group as Reah so that makes sense (if my understanding is correct- something which is constantly in doubt
).
