Status : Online | I will give my personal opinion on BS3 based what I have seen in a trailer and read on the interviews.
The trailer shows only George running, jumping climbing walls and some fight/hunting parts. The game looks to me like it is going to have a similar interface to largo winch. It is nothing like GK3. First of all it is going to be controlled by a keyboard or a joypad. You have to go near to the object so that it is highlighted or george turns his head to it and then you have two different actions to do with the object or something like that.
The most worrying thing in my opinion is that you can also jump to the sides, and climb walls hang from ledges and go left and right while you are hanging, which reminds me a lot of tomb raider, indiana jones ATIM, etc.
The developers have said in the interviews that it is still an adventure game but how much this is true remains open to criticism and to each person's conception of an adventure game.
At an interview I read, the reviewer said a lot of times to Charles Cecil that this game's looks are going to remind a lot of people Tomb Raider and Cecil replied that this is just a promotion issue. To me it seems like Cecil wants to attract both adventure and action players to the game which is quite difficult to do, cause there are many differences in the gameplay and what makes them tempting to their fans of these two genres.
What disturbed me the most is that Charles Cecil in his interview in E3, declared point n click adventures dead, and then he said long live the adventure. To me it is not right for someone who has made a living out of point n click games/style of gameplay to declare it dead in order to make a fuss around his new game. Especially now that we have clear examples that point n click adventures are alive and prosperous (Syberia, TLJ...).
I don't see myself buying the game, unless the final version seems something really different from what I've pictured it to be. I didn't like the interface and the gameplay of Largo Winch and I don't think I will like this one either. I am most looking forward to Syberia 2 and post mortem.

The video gave an impression of a stylised, half-cartoon half real-life look - best illustrated in the exagerated facial animations - and is a response to the developer's feelings against the concept of photo-realistic graphics in videogames

Status : Offline | I like a wide range of games - I did enjoy Largo Winch. It wasn't the best I have ever played but it kept my attention and the hacking puzzles were fun. Go figure :
I did rage against one turn based fight that seemed to have way too much luck riding twith the bad guys and was taken aback by how simplistic the remaining two fights were - but it had fun cinematics and a bare bones interesting story. I wouldn't mind seeing another.
As for BS3 - I will get it. The first two had some actiony moments and I haven't been put off by what I have seen and heard so far. I do hope that they have similar great music and sarcastic dialogue in the newest one.
Am I looking forward to Post Mortem, Syberia 2 and The Omega Stone more - yep - but I will also get BS3 and see how the tradition is continued or not.
