InXile (Brian Fargo's studio, who kickstarted Wasteland 2 and made up of many old interplay devs) is now kickstarting a new project, a spiritual successor to Planescape torment.

The game is set on the new "Numenera" RPG (which was also a new table top rpg funded by kickstarter a while back), the rpg game is from Monte cook, who co-created Planescape Torment back in the day.
The game certainly has that similar setting and story focus it seems. Already an intriguing setup and going into a story/setting that's not more of the "same old same old" rpg tropes.
The game is going FAST on kickstarter, it's not even been out a single day yet and it's at 800K of it's 900k goal, I think it's safe to say, it'll be funded and is on track to do just as well , if not better, then wasteland 2's, maybe even surpassing Project eternity for the most funded video game project on Kickstarter.
Here's a video from Chris Avellone (Lead designer of Planescape torment), NSFW (language):

(youtube tags broken? video wouldn't load with them)
edit the game has already went well above it's goal, over 1.4 million already in under a day.
