Seemed rather different from several previous years where one only film garnered a large number of statuettes for many categories !

 

This ear the OscaRS were disbursed faily evenly over many entries.

I'm a tad late with this, but agree... it was a nice spread and no film really swept anything.

 

I was super elated that Daniel Day Lewis won for Best Actor (he's my favorite actor of all time - so IMO he deserves an Oscar for every movie he makes

 

 

Enjoyed the show for the most part... it wasn't too 'heavy' or uncomfortable as the past ones have been, though it went on a bit too long...

 

Need to see Argo now...

I'm glad the LIfe of Pi got some well deserved attention. It was a great movie and to me, was one of the most worthwhile "3d" effects in a movie, the way they had the 3d effects for the water/underwater and everything, the best since Avatar to see in 3d imo. Apart from the effects work I found the story interesting and acting great all around mostly.
