Carol is looking forward to a long lazy summer vacation.
A man phones and demands to meet her in order for her to help him.
She agrees and goes to his suggested meeting place.
But he refuses to reveal or identify himself and so Carol leaves without any details or progress.
The next morning the police phone and inform Carol that he’s been murdered.
Thus begins the twisted tale leading to the assassination of Olof Palme L L L
The sensational 1986 murder of Premier Olof Palme is an accurate historical fact. Also the deceased petty criminal Christer Pettersson (aka Crille) who ‘participates’ considerably in the game is basically historically accurate - he was the person who was tried in 1988 and found guilty of the crime but released on appeal 4 months later for lack of evidence and in fact was probably completely innocent!
The rest of the long narrative is fictional (although partly based on some real-life characters with altered names) and has been extremely skillfully woven into the whodunit suspense thriller.
Mikael Nyqvist (Sweden) who has made all 9 Carol Reed games almost completely alone [size= large](photography, programming, texts, plots, narratives, dialogs, English, music, absolutely brilliant built in dynamic hint system, etc.) with just a tiny bit of purely voluntary outside help, produces, amongst other things, story lines brilliantly intertwining facts & history & fiction – incidentally rivaling or even surpassing Jane Jensen’s real/fictional plots. ?!?
I THINK THAT CCS MAY BE HIS BEST TO DATE !!
