Tony Tough was a great adventure, but, unfortunately, TT2 never saw an English release.

Now, after all those years, an (unofficial) English patch has finally been released:

The patch is for the German version, and replaces everything, except the speech.

 

I'm playing the game now. I was really looking forward to it, ever since we were posting the developer's journal here on JA - no idea how many years ago. I'm a little disappointed though. So far, it doesn't live up to the expectations I had. Hopefully it will get better in the process. Regardless though, this patch is a particularly great release.

I bought the German release years ago. Haven't played it yet. Unfortunately, the few German reviews were not very positive.  Mean score at critify.de is 6.9.

Good to hear. The first Tony Tough was a mixed bag, but I've always wanted to try the sequel. Odd they never did an official English version.

I bought the German release a few years ago too, found it cheap on amazon UK. Although I don't speak enough German to be able to play a game, I thought, since I liked TT1 and knew an English release was out of the question, I might as well buy it, just to have. Turns out, I now got rewarded for that purchase!
