.... bet you've never seen these diddy little things.  In fact, if I lived in Sydney I reckon I'd be actively looking out for these darling critters.

[waves little legs]

"Hey! Over here! Look at me!" I'm horny!"

[crunching, munching sound]

"Aghhh! Stoppit! That hurts!"

Folks, this serves to prove that having sex has its consequences. You could get eaten.

Anyway, I'm adding the Sydney Rainbow Spider to my ever-growing list of Cute Insects One Wants to Pet.

Lady K..... come come.... where is your sense of adventure?  You can fit 10 of these little darlings onto your fingernail.  They don't bite, they are teeny tiny jumping spiders that have colourful markings like Mexican warriors.  Definitely worth a peek.  Not scary at all.

Lady K: like Caroline said, these "diddy little things" aren't frightening at all.

They are delightful, especially the cocky male (which is the only one putting it out there, working the girls in such a way that would put the Magic Mike crew to shame. No, I haven't seen the movie. I saw Mama the other night, though).

Not scary at all, Missus K.

Me no look, either.

For heavens sake, it's just a cute video of a horney little spider that doesn't even look like a spider, at least the ones that reside in my basement. Total innocence found in nature.

Well, when you've been accosted by spiders the size of dinner plates, you  tend to develop an edge.

Well, I did look at the video after all.  Aside from too many eyes, the males are pretty and their leg-waving is very funny.

That is a really pretty looking spider. I've never seen a spider like that before.

I watched this diddy little thing again and didn't realize the female spiders really would eat the males if the females weren't "in the mood". My first post was meant to be facetious but I didn't have the sound on ("Run away quickly!"). D'oh!

On second viewing, I squealed with glee when the DLT (Diddy Little Thing) squee-gee'd his main eyeballs with his, uh, paws. I'd missed that the first time. What an awesome video.

P.S. I also called the DLT a "Sydney Rainbow Spider". Nicht richtig; nicht korrigieren.
