Anyway, Happy Non-Observant and/or Non-Religious Day, Len, to you, too. I've always liked blue Christmas lights better than the regular old red and green ones in my plug-in electric menorah.
Please proofread your posts carefully to see if you any words out.

Poor poor Mark - I feel so sorry for you !
Maybe you need to consult a doctor about your digestive system, Mark !
Or p[ossibly just some medication ! A couple of tablespoonfuls of pure arsenic might do the trick – or alternatively a good dose of polonium would be more suitable for you ? Worth trying anyway IMO !
*ADDENDUM*:-
I forgot - maybe a cyanide capsule might help ?!?

Well now Mark, that's one door you shouldn't knock on when you go trick or treating.

‘The last word?’ asked Bobo in disbelief. ‘You mean it’s possible for the world to run out of words…??? Dear god, what a calamity. Just think what this sort of thing could do… businesses everywhere would cease to function…. The world economy would come to a sudden halt. This would make the Fiscal Cliff look like a slight dip in the road…. Does the President know about this?

‘Of course he knows,’ shouted the Chief’s voice down the phone. ‘Why do you think he wants our best man on the job. You’ve simply got to find that woman who’s stolen the Last Word. According to our man in Mossad, she’s taken it before. He says she insists on having it. Do what you can Bobo, in the wrong hands, the Last Word can be a powerful weapon. Word Peace is at stake here. We’re all depending on you.’
Bobo sprang into action and summoned his crack team of Special Investigators,

Fortunately, they were between engagements so they declared themselves willing and able to hunt down this perpetrator and rescue the Last Word and return it to its proper place. And where better to hide the Last Word, than among all those First Words….

[Hi Val
I am not trying to be provocative or argumentative or judgemental – just serious & curious which is maybe out of place here ??
I am honestly surprised that you are the 2nd person on this same thread who seems to find my phrase " non-observant/non-religious" very strange or maybe just funny ??
I would happily debate this quite seriously but "Religion" *IS* after all banned on this Forum (although I cannot understand why intelligent people cannot debate the subject as any other human concept without resorting to personal flaming !!).
The reason I included it in my original post was to obviate the impression that by mentioning Chanukah I was an ultra-religious or even observant person whereas the **EXACT OPPOSITE** IS TRUE – and why not ? I see nothing particularly either strange or humourous about that !!! But maybe I've missed something ???
I would imagine that there must be millions of Christians who do not think or care about its religious origins – but simply a very enjoyable TRADITION (As is Chanukah).
I may be wrong but the Xmas tree and sleigh bells in the snow could hardly apply to generally warm Israel where Jesus was actually born. Also Father Christmas and filling the stocking with Xmas presents or the plum pudding with silver coloured coins hidden it , and indeed the whole happy family gathering itself with its ample delicious food and drink –all these things are not AFAIK commandments in the Holy Bible but to be enjoyed in themselves traditionally whether one is religious, secular, OR EVEN ATHEIST ! ) Anyways – A very merry Christmas (that was) and an *extremely* happy New Year to you and all yours ! P.S. Please do not get me wrong or misunderstand me ! I am not trying to denigrate or undermine anybody who is religious &/or has religious faith in either Chanukah or Xmas.

I think I mentioned before that my Dad was Jewish (I would say reformed) and my boyfriend is as well (extremely reformed). My Mom is agnostic so I've seen the gammit when it comes to belief systems. I don't discuss my beliefs (nor politics either) with anyone. And, because you are right, religion shouldn't be discussed, let's leave this one right here.
