Haven't gotten it yet and was wondering if it was timed like Law and Order.  Also, what do you think of it?

Thanks

I haven't gotten it yet, but I know for a fact that it is not timed. Now from what I've heard from other people:

It is an excellent game, better than L&O, but it is very, very short. I repeat that this is what other people who've played it have said.

There is no time limit, and it is short. And EASY. I'd say it took me no longer than 5-6 hours, and I never once got stuck.

Short?!

So you mean that it is something like phantasmagoria???
Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of under-achievers! We're gonna stand up, and we're gonna be human beings. We're going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.

If I recall correctly, Phantasmagoria took me a bit longer.

CSI is a fun game, it's just not challenging. I think they dumbed it down in hopes that people who do not normally play will get into it.

I don't think the problem, in my book, was the content - there was a decent amount. If there had been a difficulty level, or the puzzles had been....puzzles.

A perfect renter, if you could rent PC games.

Deleted UserMan, I thought it was a tough game like Law and Order . Mike could finish it within 6 hours? Oh my , its another Syberia where people say it's a good game but indeed it's a bit too short. Well, I have to wait longer for it to be shipped to Singapore. And if it isn't shipped in here, I have to fork out extra bucks like I always do.

Actually, you can rent some PC games from http://gamesondemand.yahoo.com/play.  But you usually can't rent them until months after they come out, and they don't rent out everything.

Deleted UserInteresting. But I think for my case if I rent a game, it would be more than $4.95. I can't play within 3 days. I'd have to extend the game due to delay. This is only in USA, right? I've never heard of renting PC games here and this is the first time I've heard of it too.

.....I've read though it and actually understand how this renting stuff works. I don't have broadband. I'll try to cheer myself up.

Short, yes I thought so. I knew it when I read some info about the game before it was coming out.
Sadly enough it will not be on my game shelf.

The suggestion above about difficult levels would have been a great thing.

Okay, not fair!  I just solved a case (no hints) and only got 80% because I solved without collecting all the clues.  They should be thrilled I didn't waste their time! >

I really think there was enough content, had they made it a bit tougher. I mean, you can ask your partner for hints, but why? I was really more of a 'click thru game.' Too bad, because using all of the tools was a lot of fun.

Very short game.  I stopped to watch a horror movie and now am on case 5, the last one.  Started late morning today and took tons of breaks.

Puzzles aren't hard.  More a matter of getting clues, using the lab, etc.

Think I too would have liked a much longer game and with more investigation.

The most fun is using the gadgets.

I guess you can get 100% and get a bonus whatever that is but I won't since I solved a case without collecting all the clues.

I have a couple of more hours before time to quit so probably finish tonight.

Premise of the game is great.  However, if you want to get all the brownie points don't solve without all the clues and don't ask your partner for hints though your partner seems to say something every time you find a clue.

For most of you, who are really good at games like this you are going to feel that you were ripped off.  For me, an entertaining game but way, way too short.

I forgot to get back to this thread after finishing.

Definitely not worth $30.00.  It takes only a few hours to complete and in the case you want to do the bonus, then a bit longer, because you have to solve each case 100%, which left me out on a couple of cases because I finished without collecting all the clues.

Was a novelty but wait til the price goes down.

I still have it up, in case I want to do the couple of cases over that aren't 100% but not something I am going to do in the near future.

Someone mentioned maybe there would be an addon, maybe so but as it is, $ vs. length = 0.
