The bookmakers are having a bonanza – boy, girl, neither, twins, date of birth, etc., etc.
N.B.
I know next to nothing about obstetrics, but I wonder if it's possible that twins could be born absolutely simultaneously – say as a result of a Caesarean.
WHO WOULD BE A FUTURE KING OR QUEEN OF GREAT BRITAIN ? An interesting quandary !

Status : Offline | I'm not certain about the facts but I heard on our (Israeli) radio this morning (but can't find on Google !) that the Australian Government have **most generously** decided to donate a half a million Australian dollars for a fund to help the 2 children and family of the nurse
who committed suicide due to a rather puerile spoof from 2 Aussie reporters.
I wonder if I've got it right ??

Veering a bit away from this particular tragic occurrence it also applies to humor in general
What one person thinks is extremely funny can be distressing, humiliating, and insulting to some other folk.
IMHO, humor is a fragile & delicate creature.
In my personal case, but obviously not everybody's, I prefer fun & humor laid on with a feather as opposed to a sledgehammer.
I don't particularly like the latter when it is benign. I find it downright repulsive when it is personal and intentionally malicious and vindictive !

Status : Offline | I started writing this before I heard of the terrible Newtown (Sp??) killings.
I can hardly bear to think of the grief caused to the parents of the 20 or so innocent children killed in cold blood – it's too painful to imagine !!!
It seems that the pair who implemented the hoax have been receiving death threats. I don't know who has sent them – probably members of the "Holier than thou" brigade !!
Whoever they were/are are worse than the incident itself IMHO !
AFAIK there was absolutely no malicious intent behind the jape and nobody was INTENDED to get hurt (which is more than can be said of 1 or 2 'jokers' here on JA !).
It was meant to be nothing more than the innocent "April Fool's" joke which is so prevalent worldwide including in the past on JA. Maybe a bit puerile but no more than that and absolutely no idea that it could possibly produce such a one in a million tragedy !!
Of course it was only done "for fun" and more importantly I suppose for ratings, and I believe that the 2 culprits are filled with remorse and self reproach. It's a no-win situation for all concerned !!

Status : Offline | It's worth noting that the Australian DJs did not target the nurse personally. They simply rang the hospital and put on silly voices.
Len Green however, does not beat around the bush. When he decides to 'get humorous' he targets his victim by name and goes into precise details....
Poor poor Mark - I feel so sorry for you !
Maybe you need to consult a doctor about your digestive system, Mark !
Or p[ossibly just some medication ! A couple of tablespoonfuls of pure arsenic might do the trick – or alternatively a good dose of polonium would be more suitable for you ? Worth trying anyway IMO !

I forgot - maybe a cyanide capsule might help ?!?
How would you exonerate yourself if Mark had been feeling wretched and vulnerable when he read your superperlatively nasty suggestion, and had harmed himself? Afterall, you know nothing about Mark or his personal life. You must know teenagers have killed themselves after being targeted like this on facebook by strangers telling them to die.
Mark and I may lark around on this forum teasing each other but nowhere will you ever find either of us making such utterly horrible comments to you. You're in a league all of your own in this regard Len.
