I recently begun playing the game, and I must say, Nina is already getting on my nerves. How is it possible that every comment she makes about her boyfriend/fiance Max is so negative..she's always criticizing him, first for his taste in house decoration, than it's his ringtones or the music he plays on his office... ahh!
But well, it's still too soon to evaluate the game. I was never a fan of the series, but I find the games enjoyable enough to distract myself for a couple of hours.

Playing: Skyrim (ongoing)

Last Finished: can't recall, been too long.

Played the demo and didn't like it.  Spoilers!

First off, I've just come off playing a run of casual games and I'm not used to regular adventure games anymore.  That said, "I know what I like".

I wanted to like this game and assumed I would.  I have the other 2 games, not tried yet.  There was trouble from the beginning as I initially couldn't figure out how to load a saved game or a couple other menu options that I found hidden in the main menu.  Again,  I had gotten used to the casual game where the menu screen had everything clear and in front of you.  No big deal.

Next I started the game with back story.  Who the heck was this guy??  I had anticipated being introduced to Nina and Max in  a contemporary time period and instead it appeared medieval and I was to direct an unknown character to steal for an unknown purpose several scrolls.  First action in demo was to solve a mini-puzzle maze.  More irritation.  It was a simple puzzle but I don't like mazes and don't consider them enjoyable puzzles.  The rest of this section of the demo was typical, not particularly entertaining.

Then I was finally introduced to Nina.  I did not have a problem with her voice as I had heard previous complaints about.  Then again I didn't find her attractive.  I know that to be a matter of taste so I can let that go.  I found Max to be bland and forgettable.

Then there came the expected inventory puzzles in the church.  They didn't make much of an impression on me good or bad.  Till I got to the rocking statue.  Then I got mad.  I couldn't find the rhythm and kept trying time after time.  In my opinion these types of physical puzzles don't belong in adventure games!  Any way, after seeking a hint I found I could get through it.

And now to the regular part of the game.  Maybe it was me but I couldn't understand the logic behind the puzzle of openning the safe in Max's office.

All in all it seemed I was irritated or mad throughout the demo.  I can't remember anything I thought was fun or charming about it.

In the demo's defense, I started off on the wrong foot.  I misunderstood some things.  And I had some expectations which weren't really fair to it.  I needed to play it with an open mind, which apparently I didn't. Expectations...

So many people are playing and apparently enjoying this game and my experience with the demo was just poor.

Ines makes a good point about how negative Nina is to Max.  She's going to change his furnishings/decorations once they're married?  I'm experiencing more irritation.  I strongly dislike it when people who are supposed to be in love and getting married have their first goal after the marriage be to "improve" their partner.

Oh well, this is just my no so experienced opinion.
