Anyone else playing the Five Cores yet?

I have completed most of the Main Island.  I only have the Tower Puzzle left before exploring the other islands.

This is the puzzle with eight spherical stones which can be rotated to eight different positions.

I found the clue with the circle of eight arrows.

I have interpreted the clue everyway I can think of from obvious to twisted, but none of the solutions I tried has activated the gem.

Any hints as to how the clue should be interpreted?

Anything else which needs to be done begore this final gem is activated?  (Maybe the obvious interpretation was correct, but it still won't turn on until you...?)

Just finished that puzzle and if you are still stuck here is how I worked it out...

Of course the biggest help is that one of the spheres is fixed and can not be turned, arrow pointing East.  I found that by looking at the clue found under the elevator there are but 4 combinations to work with. Try this and see if you come up with the right one. By standing at each red line in the clue you will see that each combination looks different and in each one the right pointing arrow (east) is different. It is one of these combinations that works. I found no indication like a sound or something that you have done it correctly, you have to check the light after each try to see if its lit. Hope I explained this well enough and it helps.

I started along thoses line, although I only tried the one orientation.  I did, however, try it from both looking into the circle and from inside the circle looking out.  That also changes the arrows.

I will try the other three position tonight.

The fourth try did it!

It was not the logical choice, but several of the puzzles appear to require random guesses from a small set of choices.
