Topic: Sherlock Holmes at last ..but with a lot of changes.
Watson still creeps up on you in Testament in first person view, like in that great video above. So much so that I kept yelling at him to get out of the way.

Watson also creeps in Ripper. I kept running into him -- first by accident, then on purpose (Hah!). This was, in fact, the inspiration for that silly image I posted earlier.
That's a wonderful video, Fnord! It had me cackling out loud.

I noticed that too and was told that it was deliberate -- that it's part of the story. But I haven't gotten far enough into the game to see it for myself. Unfortunately my gaming computer had a technical problem and is waiting on parts, so you'll probably find out before I do.
But that is not entirely unlike how he is in the books. Sherlock is not a pleasant person at all, and has more than a bit of a superiority complex. It is the movies & TV-series that made Sherlock into the person who we think of today (and at the same time turned Watson into a bumbling fool). The recent action movies are, in some ways, closer to what Sherlock should be.
In any case, I think I'll wait with this game, due to the mixed opinions I'm seeing here. I quite liked the previous games (not including Mystery of the Mummy, and I have not played Vs. Jack the Ripper yet, even though I own it).
Oh, and I take it that Watson is not quite as creepy in this game as he was in previous games?
By "romance," I meant romance with the genre, the era, the traditions of SH. And, no, Watson is not too creepy, but he still sneaks up on you stairs, only now it looks like he blowing a bubble gum bubble.

You have to play the game to really understand what we mean. Something about him seems off -- maybe not all the time, but at certain points he behaves like someone else. It's not just a matter of his having a superiority complex.
Thought there was just as much gore in Ripper and Awakened, maybe more, than in Testament. Just finished the game a few minutes ago, can't say I saw that ending coming.
Guys, i can't find where one saves in this game! Can anybody help me with that? Oops, nevermind, i found it--but i'm aghast that there are only 4 save slots! First they wouldn't listen to us that 10 is not enough, end now we only get 4!!!??? I wonder if one can add slots by fiddling the .ini files.
Btw, i have over 1000 gamesaves in Skyrim...

The number of save slots is probably unlimited, they're just shown in blocks of four. Once you have four saves click save and you should see blocks 5-8.
