Ok there have been quite a few ruffled feathers in the past week and a half. So here's the official company line and it will be enforced from now going forward. There is to be no political postings in the forums. If you'd like to discuss current events and how they may relate to past or future events then feel free, but walk the fine line or you may find yourself walking the JA plank Arghhh Mateys.

As mentioned before current events ok, but there will be tolerated no overt violence discussion in our threads. By overt I mean that you are not allowed to post something that is overly descriptive of violence. If you want to mention a *CURENT* event then please feel free. If you want to reference violence in support of a larger point then feel free so long as it is not overt. If you want to post about violence just to post about violence you will find your post deleted without warning. If you come here to disrupt our peaceful community then just head on out now because you will not be allowed to remain long anyway. I will use every tool at my disposal to protect our community and foster a sense of goodwill between us all and that includes banning users for periods of time or compleatly as the community sees fit.

Please feel free to let me know what you guys want to see around here and I will do my best to make them happen. If you find yourself needing to point something out to me please please do so. You will always remain annonymous. Please make use of me and my inbox so that I can make this a site worth returning to again and again. Let's preserve our merry band of gamers addicted to adventures. They may say we are outnumbered and to that I say that each one of us is worth 100 of these puny little pip squeking new gamers anyday. No puzzles, no choices, just random mayhem, that is not us. We do it the right way and that's the only way it should be done.

As always don't take yourself or anyone else too serriously including me and remember to give life a break.... and JUSTADVENTURE!!!

Isn't it normal that there will always be some ruffled feathers during an argument, this is a discussion forum after all, isn't it?

I understand that there's no room for polical discussions, as they indeed cause trouble.

But i've got a feeling there's a zero tolerance policy towards heavy discussion or any abnormal behavioviour these days, which is quite the opposite of not taking life too seriously and giving it a break.

We've already lost a few members who felt that we're being oppressed by the new 'company line' and style, whoever that company may be. (I've got a conspiracy theory on that one )

It would help if the mods themselves would participate even more in topics, instead of only playing the watchmen.

Who watches the watchmen? We do ... No users, no forum.

So let's make that happen, and loosen up a little, just my 2 cents

Nope it doesn't mean a free for all. While I will be leniant and allow you to discuss whatever you want outside of those bounds, giving life a break and relaxing means being able to come here to a safe and freindly enviornment not to hostility and bickering. So we are cutting that at it's source. I'm not a referee, that's not what I am paid to do, and I enjoy coming here to discuss things as much as the next guy and try to post in here as well as the owner and some of the other staff.

It's not about big brother or censorship and a giant corperation, which we are not HA, it's about fun and adventure and I aim to keep it that way thank you. Have a great day.

Hmm...  Where do we stand on the topic of discussion of the effects of violence in games, or violence in media in general?  It's a somewhat contentious issue (and I believe that there are some strong feelings in some quarters here on the matter), but one that comes around from time to time and that might be seen as important to gamers.

MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

*ahem*

Sorry.

Good question. In response violence mentioned in casual or game terms is not a problem. It's when someone is posting it just to post it, or if it gets a bit too graphic and therefore un-family friendly then perhaps it might be asked to be scaled back a bit. Let me give you an example earlier there was a posting in the forums about Mr. and Mrs. God. It was not intended to be religous to to deny, claim or trash any religion so no problem. That basic rule can be applied throughout the forums and the rules within reason. I hope that makes more sense.
