Yes, some puzzles are pretty obscure. I disliked the maze section, rather exasperating, I'd say.
6/10 I had a nice time playing it I give it a 7/10 considering its age. BTW, Have you read the tale that supported the game, "The Shadow over Insmouth" ? It's a great story.

I have read many Lovecraft stories, but I don't think I came across "Shadow over Insmouth". I shall remediate to that !

Status : Online | Interesting, I started playing this game years ago. I'm not really sure what happened or why I stopped. Maybe I'll have to pull it out again, I've been totaly in a Lovecraft mindset these days, but Necronomicon didn't work out for me, I don't do 3D.
Think I'll have any trouble getting this to run on win2k?

I tried to play the game under WME and it was impossible. I strongly suggest you to install it in a computer with W98.

Shadow was played in hospital after a carpal tunell operation (too much computer they said, you should have seen thir face when I unpacked my notebook, but it was too late, loved the game, apart from the maze, not easy a fast navigation with both hands in a thick bandage LOL, prisoner is just as good, do yourselves a favour and play them well that was my 2 cent :-)

The animation of the monsters were laughable instead of scary and the feel of Lovecraft couldn't be completely transferred over(except the other program on the disc, the Lovecraft Museum, is creepy as all get out). A splendid game in all regards!
Prisoner of Ice was a disappointment as a sequel. WHile I wouldn't consider the game a waste of time it would be difficult for me to suggest it as a choice over many other (better) games.
