I found Amerzone to be pretty easy, and quite nice looking as wel. As was the Blackwell series, and Gemini Rue.

Amerzone - yes an excellent suggestion for reasonable puzzles but with full flavor and texture. Barrow Hill is worth a look, and perhaps Outcry if you don't mind [or even enjoy] a gloomy downcast atmosphere.

It also depends upon what TYPE of game you prefer.

If you prefer  fairly recent 3rd person Quest/Adventures (as opposed to 1st person 'exploration' type  games) a very good fun game which is definitely easy is "Lost Horizon" - but your post was not completely clear  and I think you said you had played it ???:

But if by any chance not, I would definitely recommend that game.)

Anotjher game of a similar basic style but IMHO rather more difficult (but not horrendously so) is "A New Beginninig". There are good walkthroughs if you are stuck and an additional walkthru (mine actually) delimng in exhaustive detail with ALL the most difficult puzzles.

There is also a bargain offer via JA... ASNB + "Whispered World" for US$9.99.
