I mentioned yesterday in my 9 mistakes players make in Diablo 3 that people are missing out on auction house gear. I said that you only need 30,000-50,000 gold to upgrade your gear. This is an estimate since most of my characters are already geared up but I still feel it’s possible. Here’s how it works.

Usually people post things up with “pie-in-the-sky” prices. They see a gear with 100 Dex and 100 Vitality and throw it up for 200,000 gold and hope some one buys it. It may or may not be worth that diablo 3 gold much and I’m not sure you want to gear up a level 30-50 character with that stuff. If you sort by buyout price you’ll see all these high priced items at the top and even if you scroll through 46 pages you won’t see any ‘affordable’ items. Even the cheapest item on page 46 won’t be that great.
