They are charging people and not providing the games and not responding to any requests for help.

I don't have anything to do with the store, but I am looking into this for you.

I also tried to buy the bundle on sale and when I try to put in something different it seems to only default to either 3, or 10, nothing in between that.

I assure you this is not a scam in any way shape or form & everyone will get their games. If you have any problems please contact our support helpdesk & it will be resolved.

Since I'm certain that this is completely trustworthy, how comes these reports of it being a very nasty scam ???

Some people (me included) have not got our codes yet, after ordering the bundle. But there can be many explanations for this, including a clogged mail server. 

I will be patient and look forward to receiving the games.  Most of the time, people don't scam you for three dollars.  I did put a support ticket in though.

Got the games, One Day Later.  Not sure if it was because of the ticket, but now, for those reading this forum.  Its not a scam. 

This is why torrents are the way to go.

It is a tool for downloading things. Basically what it does is that it connects you to all the others who download from the same "torrent", and you download the parts from the file(s) that you don't have from them (and others will download from you). It spreads the burden, and means less server load.

Torrents are often used for piracy (that is what it is famous for), but far from always. Many companies also use torrents as an alternative to downloading the files from their server.

Ditto with regard to 'file sharing' which I have heard is used a lot for pirating ga,es - is that h sane thing ?

It is a form of file-sharing, yes, though there are other methods for it as well. File sharing software is not inherently bad, and a lot of legal things are being shared on the big file sharing sites, but with it being so easy to use, a lot of illegal things are also shared that way.
