Great video, good to see the guys back and Tex himself.

Not even 24 hours and they have already raised over 100k, I think it's safe to say it will make it

.

Also :

One of Project Fedora's most exciting features is how the game and story can unfold in different ways. As you play, your actions and choices will change events, leading to new story elements and gameplay. This "narrative pathing" not only allows you to customize your experience, it will provide unique replayability, as the game will have at three or more story paths leading to multiple endings.

Sounds awesome, reminds me of Heavy Rain.

I thinkthat the last 3 Tex games were amongst the very best evet ----- BUT

Please excuse my skeptical queris !!

Iwas under the impression for a very long time that ALL legal rights to Tex Murphy games were held by some other Company (maybe MICROSOFT) after the Developers sold out due to their wonderful golf ga,e.

AM I RIGHT ?

If so, is ALL the kickstarter cash going to go to making a new authentic Tex Murphy game or buying back the ;rigjhts' !!?

Who is (or are) "Project Fedora: ?

Sorry to all Tex -locvers (including myself) but sI think that some further clarifications should be mde - in addition to the present **commercial** boosting the ostensible future game to high heaven !!.

IINCIDENTALLY _  must say that I have not particularly enjoyed any of the 'copies' of oce superb games - I don't say they were BAD - just not nearly as good as their originals !

the "King's Quest" copies.

I am talking about the "Gubrush-Monkey" games; the "Sam'n Max" games; and the

No it's for a new game, not to buy the IP back. It is picking up after the last game left off and continuing the story.

This is straight from the two main guys who made the Tex games and their own studio.

The guys who created the original game (Chris Jones included, who stars as Tex Murphy) managed to reaquire the rights. Now they just need the funding to create the game. Check out their video, it's completely unambigious.

So do I LOVE the Tex Murohy games.

In fact "Pandora Directive" is amongst my dozen BestGames *EVER*.

I only hope that it is up to the stasndards of the previous e;x's !

So many updates of  'classics' are not and rely more on nostalgia than excellence

Close to half the $450,000 fundraising goal for Project Fedora was raised in the first four days of the campaign.

Currently, they have $238,962 (appx 53%). It looks as though they'll have no trouble raising the balance by 16 June.

That's *EXTREMELY* good !

Can anybody vouch with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY that it will be a 'genuine' 'bona fide' '3-D' , type game a la "UAKM" or "Pandora" and not one of the recent 'substitutes' like "Monkey" or "Sam'nMax" ??

This video from Aaron Conners will tell you about the game design. It will definitely have Full Motion Video (FMV) and while he doesn't come right out and say that it will have 3D environments, the video teasers so far have shown them and he does say that Project Fedora will be in the mold of Pandora Directive, Under a Killing Moon, and Overseerer. So, I'm pretty sure it'll be 3D.

If you haven't already been there, the FAQs at the bottom of http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/251414413/tex-murphy-project-fedora should provide at least some answers.

There's quite a bit of info in the Project Fedora Kickstarter campaign pages -- you might want explore them for additional insight.

Or...you could always go over to the Big Finish site at http://www.bigfinishgames.com/ (where it's not necessary to join anything or be a member of FaceBook just to ask a question), click the Contact link at the top, and ask what you want to know.

On a personal note:
Every time I see the URL www.bigfinishgames, I see www.bigfishgames.com at first. Argh!

VERY NANY thanks for the updates, Karla !

IIt's VERY late night in Israel (more exactly. early morning) !!  We are 7 hours ahead of USA east coast where one granddaughter lives & 10 hours ahead of USA west coast where one daughter lives !!)

So I'll postpone accessing them till tomorrow/today morning (Wednesday)

I'll DEFINITELY go through them - the last 3 Tex Murpheys are mongst my best games ever and I think as a trio rate at equal to the equally magnificent Gabriel Knight trio !!

Hey Ray, put your glasses on! I've already said that in a post just above yours.

Hi Ray e],

I know it's a joke but we have to be *SO* Politically Correct these days - unfortunately !!

I think you mean "Visually impaired" or some other euphemism - HeHe.

At any rate - that's what I am !!

I have been told by 2 reputable eye-doctors that with "Age related Macula Degeneration" (AMD), although I have heard of people who claim to have gomne blind as a result - I hope they are exaggerating.

I DO know what **TOTAL** blindness is like ! It is not pleasant  but is the case with my left eye due to surgical failure. If you shine a powerful searchlight on that eye all I stillm see is COMPLETE blackness !

At present I cannot read a nespaper or a book even with a strong magnifying glass, Nor can I see the faces of actors in movies or TV

But my computer is a "life saver" and I feel sorry for the millions of people who must have suffered before our technological age.

By virtue of a very large monitor (and keyboard) and particularly due to the ability to *GREATLY* magnify, I can to date still function.

It is slow going mainly due to clumsy lateral scrolling and hence often frustrating compared with the past - But I never grumle and thank my lucky stars for that and in comparison with so many of my relatives & friends who have died or are very seriously & painfully mentally &/or physically ill.]

 CHEERS - Enjoy life !!

With almost every kickstarter project there has been an increase towards the end in the amount of backers. I hope this won't be an exception.
