Wandering the web last night I realized I'd never played "To D'ni", the last Uru add-on. So I found a dl - quite small really - and plan to give it a go as soon as I re-install Uru. Is there anything to the expansion? Path of the Shell was very good, much better I think than Uru itself, which was a big let down for me.

You can "store" up to 3 spells, by holding down the sneak key while inputting them, so you don't need to frantically make magic signs in the middle of combat. I did not realize that until quite late though, and got quite good at drawing the symbols needed for fireball while beign attacked by some of the games most powerful enemies. The game sure got easier when I realized how it was supposed to be done.

We really should move this to other games now, so this will be my last remark on the subject in this thread:  I was always afraid of those siens and it was the sole reason i never palyed Arx, tho I own it.  Might give it a whirl someday then...  (When the EA monopoly kicks ion and i have nothing else to play...  )

K, but this is really "other game" chat now - lets make a thread for it in other games, shall we?

After reading some of this discussion I was wondering if we had a new moderator here at JA.

Carry on!

Gee, I never knew you had kids! Last time I read your posts you were with Aya.

My kids are from a previous marriage. Who is this? I don't recognize "Fien" as  a user name.

Val, look on this as an adventure game clue:

If you read Fien's posts carefully, I Bet you will Not be in doubt for Long.

Is that the entire clue? Or just a portion of a set of clues?

I think we are doing just fine, people are busy with things but that does not mean we are not here. I am working on too many games to post much, doing mods fro Skyrim, helping with routes and resources for a bunch of sims, have an article due on games and then my own work..so there is just isnt much time...but adventure games are still alive and well and there are plenty to play, the next one i am looking forward to is the new episodes for Dreamfall which Ragnar has promised once Secret Wrold is out.

so we are fine.

Fien is my oldest nick on the Internet. Many people, including regulars at JA, know I use it at game-related forums. At JA, and one or two other places, I was known as Betje, but I haven't used that nickname anywhere in years.

Wow, it is amazing how we associate someone online with whatever name we knew them by at that snapshot in time. Hi Fien!

Yes, it seems your role has now become devolved to weeding out spam.  We have other policemen patrolling, on the sharp lookout for the terrible transgression of thread attrition.

I've got the feeling that around this hour it really is quiet around here, everybody is either at work (Europeans)  or asleep     [Americans]

Except for trav ofcourse, does she ever sleep?

You were really just looking for a chance to use those emoticon images, weren't you?

Anyway, most Americans are now one hour earlier because of daylight saving that turned the clock back 1 hour a few weeks ago.

...but yes, that post of mine does appear to be "in the wee hours", doesn't it?
I sneak in when I have the place to myself.    Just to confuse you.

I think this entire thread might easliy be moved to the Off Topic now and we might move over to the What are We Playing and get back to the business of talking about games.

Actually, Trav, we (well, most of us Americans) lost an hour a few weeks ago. We had to set our clocks ahead one hour, so there's that, yeah.

How are you and your family. I don't know if you remember me but I used to be Valadmin and the JA+ webmistress.

Val? Valadmin?

I remember you, Valadmin. In fact I remember seeing your name back when I first registered here as "K515" back in early January 2008, and I figured that "Val" was really "Valadmin."

Nice seeing you still here - are you still the JA admin?
