Status : Online | All I can say is WOW! I don't know any other women who play adventure games, and here you all are....greetings! I've only been into gaming for less than a year, but i've been making up for lost time, collecting and playing galore. Favorites thus far: -The Longest Journey (first one I ever finished) -GK2 (except the timed maze at the end made me nuts, otherwise, perfect game) -Grim Fandango -Amber -Shivers -Nightlong -Might & Magic VI and VII (RPGs, which I also love) -Planescape Torment (RPG, with a great story, such pathos)
I have SO many games waiting to be played, I'm most looking forward to Syberia, GK3, and Elder Scrolls Morrowind.
I'm 38 chronologically, 28 mentally

Status : Offline | Judyann, I beat you, was 64 yesterday - who says age or sex has anything to do with loving adventure games. There does seem to be a concept that games are for the younger players but I'm quite sure that games, especially those like the GK series, would apeal to a much more "mature" player if they just knew they were out there. You only have to go to a local library to see how many older people read mysteries, but probably quite often they have never been exposed to computer games of this type. I know some people think that playing solitaire is all they could do. Guess I was lucky in that the first computer we bought back in 1993 or so had Monkey Is. loaded with it and that got me hooked! :

I'd say my favorites are:
KQ3 and 7 (KQ3...my first adventure game) Myst (and I'm proud to say I love it) The Longest Journey (WHY don't they make more games like this?!) Space Quest ("Careful! The Orion Vivisectional Mudpuppy also enjoys vivisecting the occasional humanoid finger!"
And believe it or not, I think the list might include Leisure Suit Larry (I was able to get past almost all the trivia questions without cheating when I was sixteen. (which was two years ago.) Am I a nostalgia nut or what?)
Now where are these stats going, I wonder...?

Status : Online | Most of the ones I've played I no longer own. I started playing games in 83 when I was 13. I think my first adventure was early 90's, Kings Quest. My husband and I played it together. Now I'm just trying to get as many rare adventures as possible before they get lost in oblivion.
I probably like a lot that everyone else thinks are rubbish, each to their own, however my favourites are the GK and Broken Sword series's. Oh and Tex, and Zork, Discworld. Hand of fate Death Gate Sherlock Holmes and his scalpel/rose Riddle of Master Lu PRISONER OF ICE Flight of The Amazon Queen (easier than it looked, never finished it because of a glitch) NORMALITY SHADOW OF THE COMET (loved this) DRAGONSPHERE (harder than it looked, never finished it)
Currently have Laura bow on one pc Freddy Pharkas on another, and have spent the last week wondering whether or not to play something on the third. It's not neccesarily a blessing having this many games. And 3 PC's.

At the time of the original post, I hadn't played any of those games.

What a great game! I just purchased a few - TLJ, Amerzone, Darkfall, Runaway, and the Myst Trilogy. So I'll be busy for a while now! My friend had Sanitarium, but that just didn't work for me. I have read so many good things about it though.
