Boring story and not too interesting puzzles.
I've just finished The Mystery of the Mummy. Okay game but not too difficult and the storyline was a bit chaotic. I'm starting The Omega Stone right now.

Recently played The Mystery Of The Mummy and after that the short but ok The Crystal Key.
Since the 23/1 I have been playing RHEM. Only playing it once or twice each week, because I love the great Puzzels in this game. I dont want it to end to soon.
As my other ongoing game for the moment I am replaying Gabriel K II The Beast Within. A great game except for one thing, it is to easy. But the story and acting actually makes up for the easy puzzels.
In Short: I am playing RHEM and GABRIEL K II for the moment.

Status : Offline | well, i just finished "noir: a shadowy thriller"... hmmm... on a scale of 1 - 10, i'd give it a 6.5... this game is inspired from the old detective film noir movies... the atmosphere is great !
but it's quite confusing to follow...
i've just ordered "post mortem" and "tony tough"... but i might start something else before my new games arrive...

Status : Online | I just got done with Fool's Errand last weekend. Needed a bit of help on a few of the puzzles, but I enjoyed it overall.
Another game I finished is The Dark Half. I had to play it because of how bad everyone said it was. I didn't think it was awful, more funny in an unintentional way.
I'm currently playing Synnergist, Touche, 9, and Plague.
Much like gamer, I also really liked Shivers, and to a slightly less degree, the sequal. I thought the graphics were great for the time. I thought the different "zones" of the museum were very well done, with the medieval torture section especially memorable. Puzzles were tough but fair, with the game giving enough hints to not make it too frustrating to figure out what to do next. I remember the music/sound effects being appropriate as well, although it's been long enough now that I don't remember them, just that I liked it.

Status : Offline | I've just begun Day Two of Gabriel Knight 3 - so far I'm intrigued and but not terribly excited by it. Part of the problem is the sarcastic witticisms of Tim Curry's voicing are winding me up - does this character really have to be so dull? The number of times I've clicked on a hot spot or possible inventory thread to be met with a tiresomely drawling glib comment.... in adventure games I take it as a rule to click on everything and anything as missing something halts your progress permanently (especially in this game, ironically enough). I'm not exactly encouraged to do so by Mr Knight.
However, the first five minutes with Grace have already improved matters greatly!
It's about the right difficulty level for me as I've not resorted to cheating yet, which makes me feel better.
Small but pertinent quibble: I bought the DVD style case not the big box version, and the "graphic novel" was on the disk in Adobe. I'm guessing it came on paper with the original release. Anyway, my point is nowhere did it mention that the comic was the introduction to the game, so I spent the first 20 minutes utterly confused as to where I was and what I was supposed to be doing! Oh well, the price of budget buying..... :

Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of under-achievers! We're gonna stand up, and we're gonna be human beings. We're going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.

And an update for me, too.
Have downloaded Lure of the Temptress. Have played for a few minutes but I don't really like timed puzzles so not sure if I am going to continue. Have also started playing Myst III Exile.

| Deleted User | Sennebec, I don't think that it is necessary to play the Nancy Drew games in any specific order. They are stand alone and there is no carry over fromone to the next. However, I think that they improve as the series moves on.
I am currently playing Discworld Noir. It is not terribly challenging but I am enjoying it. It's made like a bad detective film. Lewton, the hero, is more of an anti-hero than anything else. It all sort of reminds me of an old Sam Spade movie.
Someone mentioned Mystery of the Mummy earlier in this thread. I didn't enjoy it. All puzzles and no dialogue leave me lonesome.
