The login system thought that it could banish me from this world, but I.  Have.  RETURNED!

I have to login each time I've started my computer up, even though I've ticked the 'Keep me logged in box. It's very annoying.

Hi colpet, do you have cookies enabled, or any software that might remove cookies after you close your browser? (some browsers have that setting enabled based on the security settings).

To stay logged in, your browser needs to retain the cookie that is set by the site. Something must be preventing that cookie from sticking around after you leave. Any ideas?

I don't know what you mean. I go to other forums - Gameboomers and Adventuregamers and I stay logged in there. I'm not very technical when it comes to computers.

I'm having the same issue, both in Firefox and on my ipad.

It's a pain in the ass to have to log in everytime.

Everytime they adjust something on this site they break about 15 other things

I seem to be having a different problem: while not logged in, it seems that attempting to open either the Other Games or Technical Help sub-fora results only in opening the main forum page again.

I don't know whether this affects any other sub-fora, although I may experiment once I've logged out after this session, then report further.

On a cursory glance it looks as though there might be a redirection in effect: it looks as though the proper link loads, but is then replaced by the URL for the main page, which then loads completely, as though there were a redirect on the sub-forum page.

I just realized that it logs me out without turning off my computer. If I'm away from the site for a few hours and come back, I have to log on again.

Logins should be fixed now!

If you tick the "remember me" tickbox when logging in, your login details will be saved in a cookie and thus remember you when you return.

If you have any issues with it, just let us know.

btw, Thaumaturge, I have also fixed the issue with the thread page-count not showing up when not logged in.

Still having issues with logging in. I don't mind the process so much as having to enter the 'secret' letter sequence every time.

I run Windows 7 at home and XP at work. When I'm at work, the site keeps me logged in just like normal. It's just at home with my newer computer that I've had the login issues.

So nice to be able to Login once more. Seeing I hardly every get time to visit the forums I was astounded to find the whole thing changed and that I couldn't even login - but all is well now!!
