Greengum Games announced today the release of Six, an interactive fiction adventure game by Wade Clark. Six is about six-year-old sisters playing hide and seek at their birthday in the park.

Six had previously competed in the 2011 Interactive Fiction Competition, where it placed 2nd out of 38 games entered, receiving critical praise for its lively cast of characters and NPCs.

Currently Six is freeware for the Mac, PC, and Linux systems, which be downloaded from this link here: http://www.wadeclarke.com/greengumgames

Six is designed for gamers of any style and background, but also is aimed for young gamers looking to get into interactive fiction games, young gamers plus parent teams, or for gamers who want to try a contemporary text-based adventure game. The game offers advice during gameplay, an illustrated PDF manual and hand-drawn map.

An interesting feature of Six is that it features an unlockable player character, something that isn't done a lot in interactive fiction games. "In an action game, playing a new character doesn't seem to make the whole gameworld change," says author Wade Clarke. "But when the game is delivered by text, you can rewrite the world through the new character's eyes, and that lets the player compare two people after living inside of each of them. In Six, those two people are a pair of little non-identical twin sisters."

-Well, listen to my story, a story I will tell, of an airborne sapper, who would go through hell, His home was FT. Leonard Wood, the land that God forgot, the mud was 18inches deep, and the sun was blazing hot.
