Status : Offline | May I give it a try for Dona? AFAIK, English is not her native language, even though one would never guess that this was the case, since her English is so perfect. If I'm correct, I'd like her to have the game. If I'm wrong, just ignore the interruption.
Could it be "invalid" ?

But you know I watch Jeopardy! daily!
Yeah, but I figured no one was going to remember a Final Jeopardy category from nine months ago. Oops!

You're welcome, glad I could help!

No, no, it's my fault, and my rather unclear phrasing. I should have clarified that I wasn't looking for a word starting with "V", that I was just using "V" for vocabulary as a subject of the question.

Very nice of you, invalid is indeed correct! Dona, if you'll PM me your email address, I'll send you the info needed to claim the game.

Dona, I hope you're not offended, and I apologise if you had found the answer in the meantime. I just thought you might be a bit exhausted after looking for all those V answers...
I hope, along with Andromus, that you'll enjoy the game! (Don't ask me what significance the smiley has, I just wanted to try it out )

Traveller with a heart of gold! You're amazing, it was so nice seeing this after an awfully long and cold day ;_; *hugs you*
Nah, I'm not offended, why would I be? Sure I can hear my CPE diploma weeping in the corner, but synonims have never been my stronger side. Tbh "invalid" is the LAST word I'd think of. The more you know! 彡★

Andromus, I love your questions. How about we start a nice "trivial pursuit" type of thread in OT asking these kind of questions? Similar to the screenshot thread - he who answers correctly poses the next question?
It would be fun if we can think of a kind of "theme engine" that generates themes that the questions should deal with, such as for instance you've used "goo" 'vocabulary' and 'running' as themes for these questions of yours.
Perhaps one could post a question plus a theme for the next person to adhere to when it is their turn.

That's a neat idea, I'd certainly participate in a thread like that. And having the last questioner set the next theme adds a fun twist.

And I'll leave Bit.trip Runner up for grabs. Here's the question again: In a poem about this battle, Robert Browning wrote, "To Akropolis! Run, Pheidippides, one race more". What battle is being referred to?

And hey, I actually know the answer! It's back from when I actually bothered paying attention in history classes! It's the Battle of Marathon.

Last but not least, here's a trivia question to win Half Life 2. A Greek letter appears as part of the title of the Half Life games. Which letter is it? First correct response here, of course, gets the game.
(Oh, and the question for Gish is still open as well.)
