Inspired a bit by posts in the general Skyrim thread. Yeah, it can look very vibrant and beautiful, although I'm sure my FXAA Injector mod helps a little. My two favourite places, an area with beautiful geysirs and autumny ravines...

Ah, that's the friendly giant, isn't it?

I like the dwarven stronghold close to that guy.

i subscribed to a mod that makes water looks more realistic, too bad it seems to have vanished from the workshop, i really find it frustrating that the devs can delete a mod without warning, good thing i had a backup

That really bites.

Some of those mods do look great, i.e. improved Riften, I guess it is understandable why I am reluctant to go ahead and apply them.

this mod makes beautiful water corrections:

RWT_Medium_Full_v2_0-711-2-0.7z

and there is a high res versoin, two of them in fact..available for free at Skyrim Nexus download...dont bother eith subscriptions that is a lousy way to do mods..and it is dependent on the modder keeping it there, and many dont or make changes.

Also use the Nexus Mod Manager it is a breeze and helps keep everything in order.

Yeah, it's the peaceful giant

He scared me the first time I saw him, but then I was sad when I realised he was just mourning the death of his Mammoth

And yes, Nexus Manager >>>> Steam workshop

Yes it does. This is what I see on my machine with RWT_High version before and after.

I see a lot of you are maxing out saturation.  I love it.  That can actually (visually) make up for texture details, IMO.

I've been over Skyrim three full times now, so virtually nothing is new to me....except who or what you bump into as you explore on foot.

Yep, saturation makes a world of difference. I probably went a bit overboard with my settings, but my screen displays true colours and Skyrim looks really washed out (compared to my brother's screen that enhances colours, for example). I noticed a lot of console ports have this problem, Assassin's Creed for example.

Awww. I have explored SO little. Still haven't been to that glowy cave.

The glowy cave, lol.  I won't tell you the name if you don't know it.  It's a great place to explore--and dangerous!

I sort of know the name but cannot remember it right now. Dark-something? IDK I'll recognise it when I see it. I'm in no rush to go there.

Better to be wolves than bears.

Viewer discretion is advised.

Sometimes it's even worse if women die in that position.  I bet there's a "naked" mod out already...?

LOL of course, it was probably the first mod to come out. There's a sex mod, too. What is funny is that I was looking for a nicer male body model and I found ONE. One mod. While there are dozens of better female body mods. Ugh, fanbase.

wow, nice place, i love the tranquility that radiates from this location.

It's very refreshing to see something like that in a harsh environment like Skyrim

thanks it is fun to learn the new system, and study the intricacies of how Skyrim works....quite a bit more sophisticated and complex than Oblvoin and some nice new possible features....but a steep learning curve. Fun to share and expand our world.

Ooh, it looks very nice, Chris!

Spoiler AlertI'm starting to look at buying houses in different towns, starting to perhaps have enough cash. I saw someone's house in Windhelm, and it looks interesting, with an interesting quest attached to it.

Beware with that quest, Trav!

Make sure you have a save before you aquire that quest, because there are quite some possible bugs .

The first time the bugs made the house unavailable for the remainder of the game :\
