Status : Offline | My game play has ground to a halt. After 18 years of game playing there is nothing I haven't played or tried to play that I was interested in. 413 of them. I am totally tired of replaying games and now I look forward more to new releases.
So developers if you have any compassion please....please start releasing some games...namely
Rhem 5
Bracken Tor
Prominence
Last Crown
Phobos 1953
J.U.L.I.A.
Relics 2
Asylum
Memento Mori 2
Testament of Sherlock Holmes
Ambers Blood

have you tried some of the olde classics just for fun? the Kyrandia games are lovely esp the voiced versions. I did enjoy Memento Mori and would love to see a sequel to that one too. What is the Phobos game? i remember several very good levels for Doom named Phobos but i am sure it is something else.

Believe me that I have researched, researched and researched again every adventure game ever made and there is nothing left that I have any interest in trying. The Kyranda games aren't even counted in my list as I did try one and know they aren't for me as none of the cartoony games are.
For you information Memento Mori 2 is already in the development stage http://www.mementomori2-game.de/
And take a look at Phobos 1953 here http://www.phobos.su/en/ I believe an English version is in the works now.

Hi Jenny100
Yes I am certainly interested in Coven and also...
Decay
Corrosion: Cold Winter Waiting
Wychwood Hollow
Dark Secrets
Aura III Catharsis
The Witness
Amarhys
Mile of Cry
Until I'm Gone
Black Sails
Deep Sleep
Nonamestar
But I tried to keep the list to the games that actually have a chance of being released in 2012

Status : Offline | I've just started the first "Drawn". Nice art work, but puzzles thus far have been about just finding the right object.
*edit* Done. Short and very easy. It looked nice, but I don't think I'll run out and buy the sequel.

Advantageously, it apparently includes a tutorial for those who are not familiar with Interactive Fiction (which can be disabled), and at least two difficulty modes.
MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
*ahem*
Sorry.

Those people are...badly mistaken, lets say. Broken Sword 1 has some of the best writing of the genre, while the writing of Secret Files ranges from mostly poor to occasionally mediocre. Perhaps they make the comparision because Secret Files attempts a balance between comedy and drama something along the lines of Broken Sword. I say "attempts" because Secret Files has failed badly so far in that area, while Broken Sword pulled it off quite well.
Me, at least, I like SF better than the Broken Sword series b/c the BS games have puzzles requiring quick reflexes, while the SF games (so far, I only played SF 1, but I have SF 2, which I've yet to install/play on my computer). Also, I like the SF series b/c personally, I think they have something to do with alien spaceships or aliens from outer space although these aren't seen during gameplay.

*edit* Done. Now I'm considering either Sanitarium, Scratches or the next Blackwell game...
*edit2* Blackwell Unbound finished. The first Blackwell game was really good, but this one was even better. Still too short though.

Really? Shoot, I was looking forward to hearing about how you hit the ceiling there, Spoiler Alertor at the part where the mask appears right behind you. Those sections really got me, but then again admittedly I'm something of a wimp when it comes to horror, and what makes me jump often doesn't faze the average person.

To me the game isn't about indivual scares Spoiler Alert(though the mask in the room did give me a fright) , but it's more of a horrible atmosphere starting to pervade the game more and more as time goes on.

Status : Offline | I recently finished up Jurassic Park. I can't say it was disappointing as it was just about what I was expecting after the mess that was Back to the Future. The adventure sections are rudimentary, and the quick time events are badly programmed. The story was interesting enough, but once again Telltale has created more of an interactive movie and less of a game.

Spoiler AlertWhen the mask was not there, I expected it to show up when I turned around, which ruined the surprise factor. And I've been watching horror movies since I was 9, so I've become immune to most of the common horror tricks. Scratches was a very good game though, and the horror atmosphere was far better than average.
Now I'm going to play Broken Sword 2. First thing I noticed during the install process was that the licence agreement box said "Insert licence agreement here" (So whoever made the compilation disc that I got it on was a bit sloppy). Once the install process was done I got to pick between "Alternative 1", "Alternative 2", and "Alternative 3", so I have no idea if I just managed to ruin my install by picking the wrong alternative.

Now back to trying to finish Gray Matter which I'd started months and months ago, got thoroughly bored and just left it. However, as it's taking up HDD space I thought I may as well finish it, so now in the middle of Ch. 8. No doubt will finish it over this weekend.
Have to say that as a fervent GK fan, Gray Matter just doesn't cut it for me, don't feel at all connected with the characters - and I really dislike all those magic tricks, seem to be far too many of them. Well at least the speech is nice and clear and the graphics excellent, so maybe I shouldn't complain too much.

Skyrim Creation Kit comes out Tuesday.....many mods and new life coming up! Can't wait.

My biggest annoyance with this game remains the awful voice acting of the main character though

I thought that the ending , although unexpected, was over spectacular. My only real complaint - I had quite a few technical quirks which I forgive due to the unhappy history of the development !
The overall game will remain (happily) in my memory whereas so many others just fade into amorphous obscurity.

However, of those I have managed to play I think that the most enjoyable was "Lost Horizon' Not maybe a fabulous game but an extremely enjoyable one.

Which game are you referring to there, Len?
Hm, I played quite a bit of Lost Horizon, and its quite fun. I should make a note to finish it.
