Status : Offline | Finally finished Chronicles of mystery: the scorpio ritual today, i always quitted halfway because i got bored with the storyline.
Now that i've seen the ending, i feel the storytelling is even more bland and mediocre.
The Knights Templar or Hospitallier or whatever have been overly used in AG's, enough with it already.
Otherwise not such a bad game, puzzles are ok, graphics and voice acting are good.

Now playing (actually I just loaded) Lost Chronicles of Zerzura. I took a peek and it looks like my kind of game but since its about 3:30am, I'll get to it later.
I don't buy download-only games. Never have, never will........Mike

There use to be another Ivinia who frequented this Forum daily years ago...Wonder what ever happened to him...at any rate welcome to the Forums new Ivinia.
After finishing ASA A Space Adventure (A little known gem) I just started Cognition, Episode 2: The Wise Monkey. I wasn't expecting much from episode 1 but was pleasently surprised. Hope The Wise Monkey is as good.

I'm still playing The Space Bar, and I'm hoping to join AG's community playthrough of Callahan's Crosstime Saloon if it will work in Boxer, the Mac version of DOS Box.

I would have liked to have seen more puzzles that require cooperation from the group, especially if they were tailored to the abilities of the characters.

I just finished The Feeble Files yesterday (for the second time). I needed a saved game to get the fish and cat from the grabber machine, but, the rest I did. that is a really fun game, but, the inventory manipulating isn't very good and I wish they had a map. That feeble walks sooooo slow.
Well, my hat's off to you. I finished the game last week for the first time, and I found it to be one of the most complex and difficult 3rd-person point-and-click adventures I have ever played, along with Discworld 1. Some of the difficulty is unfair too, as there are large sections where your goals are vague and the required actions very poorly hinted at. I pressed on, frequently using a walkthrough, because I liked the dumpy little chap and wanted to see him overthrow the tyrannical OmniBrain. Spoiler AlertFirst democratically elected President of the Galaxy isn't bad for his trouble, but it's a pity he didn't also get the girl.
I am generally going through a retro and indie phase as far as adventure gaming is concerned. In the last 3 weeks I also finished Lure of the Temptress, a tribute to the old Lucas Arts games called Ben There, Dan That!, and a puzzle game disguised as an adventure called Big Brain Wolf, that has a quirky premise and some interesting brain teasers.
And I just started Ben There, Dan That! sequel Time Gentlemen, Please, and a replay of Gabriel Knight 3, meaning to get a full score this time.

Status : Offline | I am having loads of fun playing Callahan's Crosstime Saloon for the first time. It's a delightfully funny game with some excellent out-of-the-box (and even off-the-wall) puzzles. Everything is clickable for a comment, and the puns run rampant. I'm just about to start the second chapter, which is all about my favorite subject, chocolate.

*edit* I've only just begun, and I can already see why people dislike the main character. And none of the other characters have been particularly pleasant either.

Status : Offline | I'm playing The Walking Dead, and dang is it a good game. The puzzle solving is not that great, and sometimes the hotspots are not quite where they should be, so I need to click next to an item that I want to pick up, but the characters are all (thus far at least) believable and relateable. I really would not mind seeing more adventure games in the vein of this one, where the characters take center stage, and you are allowed to make some serious choices that impacts the game later on.

Status : Offline | Finished Lost Chronicles of Zerzura. Very nice 3rd person point & click. Big gaming world, no action or timed sequences, linear...just the way I like 'em.
Now playing The Dark Eye Chains of Satinav. Another 3rd person p&c. Beautifully drawn, good voice acting, interesting story (fantasy). Linear and no action or timed sequences (so far).
I couldn't find this game for sale in the US so I had to get it from the UK (via Amazon) so I had to pay a little more but it is worth it.

Status : Offline | The Dreamfall Chapters trailer, does that count? It's not out until next year but I've gravitated to 3D environments. I can fire up Dreamfall, RealMyst or Uru maybe. I realize Myst 5 has three gameplay options including point & click and 3D mode. Haven't returned to them recently because I guess I'm always looking out for something new.
Maybe I'll get back into the 2D game style with the new titles. Not sure yet although sometimes I reminisce about the past greats (imho) of Riven, the Atlantis series, and Legacy of Time.

Ah, Legacy of Time was one of the very first games for me and so were the Atlantis series. Great memories.
