Yep, it's Heart of China, one of the very few Dynamix adventures.

The game is not very difficult but it's sort of tricky because sometimes it's not immediately obvious that what you've done was not right.

It has one great feature: ability to selectively skip the action sequences. A must on a fast machine (where 'fast' is more than a 486)
