I tired to load my old PC game Silent Hill 2 and all I got was a black screen.

Has anyone played it recently on a modern multi cpu computer with NVIDIA display card?

If yes, what did you do to get it to play?

PS I tired setting for Win98 compatible under Properties.

I haven't played it, but I did come across some info on the Silent Hill forums dealing with possible multi-core and antialiasing problems that might help:
