Boo, seems like we missed the day, and the Mighty Pirate Goddess of JA didn't feel like talking like a pirate this year.
I suppose it quickly gets old, huh?   :-/

Oh well, at least I made some kind of effort...

Talk like a pirate?     Chance would be a fine thing!

Sorry Trav

I got as far as changing my avatar..... but.... I have a hubby recovering from knee surgery who needs waiting on hand and foot.... two kids .... a house.... my dance/exercise commitments..... and yesterday I went to uni to set myself up for honours next year.

Pirates is fun.  I could do with some fun.  I'm actually really reallytired and worn out and I don't know how single mums do it.....  [smiley=sleeping.gif]

Dance/excercise?  Good for you!   [smiley=hi_five.gif]
Honours?  Congrats and good luck with the HHHaaardd work that lies ahead...

Hubby recovering from knee surgery?  Not so fun..
..but admittedly something the companion of Captian Hook might have to put up with after him getting his knee cut up; shiver me timbers!

Well, good luck with all that, Caroline!
I don't even have all that, and I'm tired and dying for some gaming; which is, I suppose why I decided to amuse myself with some nice colourful pirate pictures for a while.   I had some fun doing that, I must say.

JA-Staff3, love the new avatar!
8-)  Shame, yes, there does seem to be a never-ending stream of spam attacks lately.  Make 'em walk the plank, Cap'n Superpirate!!

To a certain extent. For example, I used the money I had saved up for some periodontal work I wanted done, but Bobo thought it would better used to get his tooth cleaned.

Ain't it purdy? Bobo gets all the girls with that radiant smile.

I get: "Mummy! Mummy! That scary old man-clown is stealing my powers! I can feel it, Mummy. Make it stop!"

P.S.: Personally, I'm waiting for "Talk Like a Cow Day." More my style.

"Avast, mateys!"

"And 'Moooo!'"

Yah. He deserved to float. Nobody wears satin-y green waistcoats and shiny trousers during Talk Like A Pirate Week.

A fashion faux-pas! >

I almost missed this tarty little strumpet the first look-see:

[img]http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/5209/mp1000170.jpg[/img]

What a flitty fluffy flirt! Bet she sells more grog than anyone, being the sexy bodice-ripper she is!

Of course, I always thought that the lace-y tie-ups were in front, but nevermind...

Glad you like her, Mark.  (Or are you speaking for Bobo? )  Well, yes - about the tie-ups... she's a doggy, and doggies do tend to do things back to front, you know...   :-[

Would this lady be attired more correctly according to your human sensibilites?

Trav,

If I had a pirate-mate I think I'd be very inclined to wear that pink pirate outfit.  And as long as I was only expected to stand still in those boots I think I'd keep my balance - but walking would definitely be out of the question.... who invents these shoes?

Yah, well, I suppose she does have the legs for that costume...
  :
...but the colour must be the silliest ever devised for a pirate..- imagine after 2 weeks at sea, how smeared with blood, grime and seawater, that pink might soon turn out less pink.    :

Nah, that's a phony landlubber impostor that is.  She must have been planted by the government.  >

Or the Nabihitians..

Did I spell that correctly?

Cute crew, btw - just keep them away from Andromus's cat!

Nabuhitians..... but we won't tell them on you.

And who says you can only wear the same pink pirate outfit day after day.   I'm the Pirate Goddess - I can jolly well wear a different outfit every day.  And Mark and that misbegotten feral Bobo can take it in turns to swab the decks and wash my clothes.

And by the time my crew have finished basic training there won't be a pirate cat anywhere who isn't proud to have them as crew - and terrified to turn their back on them.!

PS.  Mods - we need a pirate smiley.

Ah, I get it..  Nabuhitians as in from the planet Naboo, I take it.    [smiley=thumbup.gif]

Well, here we be a-hopin' that the Supreme Pirate-being's companion's knee isn't giving [s]him[/s] her too much trouble...
