Topic: Hi there & My new Game project - Bram Stoker's Dracula
Hi all, I am currently developing a new project - Bram Stoker's Dracula which I hope you will all be interested in.
Project Overview:
What is the project?
The project is a fusion of a point and click adventure game and a comic book. Interactive Comic-book Experience -I.C.E.
Why create this project?
To bring together the visual delights of a graphic Novel, spliced with the interactivity of a computer game and wrapped up in one of the worlds greatest stories.
Where does the project take place?
The project takes place in scenarios from the novel- DRACULA by BRAM STOKER
What do I control?
You (the player) control MULTIPLE characters within the Novel.
How many characters do I control?
1. Jonathan Harker 2. Abraham Van Helsing 3. Mina Harker 4. Quincy P Morris 5. Authur Homewood 6. Jack Steward 7. Renfield
What is the main focus?
The main focus of the game is to destroy Dracula within the framework of the novel.
What’s different?
The difference is that the game part does not follow the same path as the Novel and puzzles within the Novel framework need to be overcome by multiple characters in order to progress the story and finally destroy Dracula. The comic book part creates the narrative and the story and reads like a digital comic but it is also interactive (sounds, animationss etc) until you get to a comic cell that highlights, clicking on this comic cell moves the reader into the Graphical Novel at that point in the story and allows the reader to become a player and take control of one of the characters, after completing puzzles or surviving traps the player moves out of the interactive Novel and back to the Graphical Novel where they can move onwards through the story. At the end the player will be able to print out the whole comic stylized book on their printer as a memento of their experience.
What Format will it be available on? Windows PC - DVD ROM
Sounds like an interesting idea. Looking forward to see how it all pans out!
Well, good luck!
