I was poking around on Twitter and came across First World Problems.

It doesn't matter what one may consider a "First World" but "Any place that has a Starbucks" is the general rule-of-thumb.

Talk about whiny grievances and petty problems. Here are but a few:

"Laying in bed Tweeting. I have to keep switching what side I lay on because my shoulder gets cramps."

"My fruit cup was mostly cantaloupe and no pineapple."

"I really wish the cleaning people would leave so I could continue my '90's dance party."

"I want to eat 3 Pop-Tarts but that means leaving one in an open pouch."

"My antivirus keeps deleting the cracks to my pirated games."

"I want to read in the bathtub but I'm afraid my book would electrocute me."

You get the idea. Oh, what a hassle living is.

One could add:
My life is so frightening because I actually believe (things like) my Kindle could electrocute me.

The future ain't what it used to be!

I think the possibility of shock could happen if the Kindle-reader has the power adapter plugged in - as in recharging the batteries.

Make that the occasion for potential and fatal electric shock is near guaranteed if one happens to drop the Kindle into the bathtub while being charged - especially if its plugged into a non-GFI-protected socket.

Zzzt!

I think the real shock comes when you forget the kindle is not a real book and rip it in half while trying to turn the page.....

I can imagine the brief initial news report going something like this:

A woman was electrocuted in her bathtub by her Kindle. It was reported that in spite of warnings previously, she had taken the fully charged Kindle into the bathtub with her and in addition, began reading a book whose cover said, 'the events described in this book will shock you'.

It was also reported that just prior to the event, as was her custom, she vigorously wiped off accumulated dust on the Kindle's cover which likely caused an additional major static electricity charge to contribute to her lethal injuries.

(And before anyone even insinuates a gender bias- you might shocked to know that more women buy Kindles than men & more women read shocking novels than men...)

The future ain't what it used to be!

I’d only use mine to read the latest Frederick's catalog in the bath - but, that's just me

What?

.

Frederick's of Hollywood is second only to Victoria's Secret when in comes to my favorite bath-time catalogs.

Funny though, I never noticed there was anything to read in them.

Cheers, Terry

Of course, first off, I thought Fredericks was a tool catalogue....  [smiley=doh.gif]   I had obviously forgotten who I was listening to.   :

On perusing the website, my only comment is why are such items so much cheaper in the USA?

You always struck me as being a bit of a handyman Inland.  You know the type - big shed, full of power tools, can turn his hand to anything.

But it would seem your 'Larrykinism' overrides everything else.

America really is the country where men's dreams come true, isn't it?
I've just found out that this lingerie league really exists.  I mean... Inland, you'd be heaven watching the footy on TV.

I'm just a bit puzzled why they have to wear garter belts though.  Surely all those dangly bits can be pulled?

She should have bagged it first.

Practice safe reading at all times.

These girls are playing "flag football" where instead of tackling the person with the ball, they are [s]deflowered[/s] "deflagged" by yanking off the dangling flag. The game's been around for a long time but this is the first I've seen it played in skivvies.

I don't buy download-only games. Never have, never will........Mike

You still would be "fried" because most adapters only have 2 prongs.  For the GFCI to properly work, you need to have the third grounding prong, which practically no adapter has unfortunately.

I do not see the flags on some of them in the shot....where do they have the flags....if they do not have them in their rear? [smiley=whistle.gif]
