And they told me this. "Huwa possibbli li xi [ch295]add ikun mi[ch289]nun bi[ch380][ch380]ejjed biex jittradu[ch267]u testi minn Serb g[ch295]all-Malti li kopja lill-fora?" Anyway, since I had no idea what that meant, I decided to ask you about The Worst Adventure Games (Or Half Adventure Games) that you have ever tried, or heard of? It counts those such as very hard and frustratingly illogical, too easy that offer no challenge, buggy, boring, unfinished, bad, the worse of the worst, to put it simply. And, include even the ones labeled as "So bad that they're good", if such exist.
Nature's first green is gold,&&Her hardest hue to hold.&&Her early leaf's a flower;&&But only so an hour.&&Then leaf subsides to leaf.&&So Eden sank to grief,&&So dawn goes down to day.&&Nothing gold can stay.

Belief and Betrayal Mysterious Journey 2 Sentinel Still Life 2
I've never finished Belief and Betrayal, Mysterious Journey 2 or Sentinel. Intrigued by its level of dreadfulness (sort of like watching a slow-motion trainwreck), I did finish Still Life 2 -- but it was painful.

Secret of the lost Cavern was really bad, in my opinion. It had a few good ideas, and the stone age is a horribly under-used time period for games, but this one was not very fun.
Egypt 1156 B.C.: Tomb of the Pharaoh had such horrible sound that it was unplayable, and the puzzles (as far as I got) were also really bad. Never got far into it either.

That's one of my favourite games and I've played it three times. Lovely game, relatively easy puzzles and nice graphics.
Unfortunately when I don't like a game/get hopelessly stuck and have no incentive to return, I stop playing. Then I find out everyone else loves them. So I can't create such a list with any credibility as the games I hated, such as Grim Fandango and The Longest Journey, languish unfinished in my cupboard. :-/

Memento Mori - awful script, annoying characters, pointless story, terrible ending
A lot of older ones from the early 90s qualify, which usually had a lot of dead ends and mazes.
This might be considered blasphemy due to Telltale's shining reputation, but I really hated the new Back to the Future though I can't pinpoint why. Worst ever might be a bit of a stretch though.

Took less than two hours to complete -- less than most casual games. There was also a part of the game where you could see stained glass windows, but not many people found it because it wasn't mentioned in the manual or anywhere else. It was probably the best part of the game, and I completely missed it.
Another loser is The Scroll -- which had problems like hotspots being in the wrong places. And often you had to guess what part of a conversation you were clicking on, because if you clicked on the correct response, a different response would be chosen. Then you'd have to start the whole conversation over again.

There were something like 5 or 6 endings. One of them wasn't terrible, but you're unlikely to get it on the first playthrough unless you "cheat" and use a walkthrough. This is one reason I don't like multiple endings.

...
This sure is going to piss off some people on the forum

A few promising games with I started and abandoned becaused they particularly rubbed me the wrong way:
Sentinel 7 Games of the Soul [Faustus] Of Light and Darkness The Forgotten Crystal Key 2 Mysterious Journey 2 [the 3D one]
Not saying they are the Worst by any stretch - I just went nowhere with them
There are a lot more in this category that I will probably give another shot at sometime. I miss gems from time to time, like Morpheus, since I make snap judgments easily lol..

Status : Offline | Mysterious Journey 2 had some very hard puzzles..i stared at that damn shutttle hanger for months at one point.... and there was an equally evil maze under some upper level like a big parking garage in a valley... but some of it was lovely
Sentinel was beautiful but some of the puzzles were totally without logic and unsolveable without a walkthorugh and i dont know how they wrote it without help from the author... it had a sad ending..but some lovely areas...
my most hated is Keepsake, it promised a lot and was crap, pls excuse language. Neverwinter Nights 2 was unplayalble due to hoorrible camera controls.... Schism I was tough, i may try again someday......
Mememnto mori has some lovely areas and effects but i got bored and shelved it.
The ScummV engine games? what was wrong with them? they all work great now on the updated and perfectly operating ScummVM project, it is free and runs all of those games perfectly on XP..and also other games like Kyrandia, and Discworld....it is a joy and a pleasure... what didnt you like about them M? Just curious,.

Nothing wrong with it - slick, itchy clean and high rated game. It's just that it was my first "push your avatar through the script" game and I quickly learned that that form of gameplay is not my cup of tea.
Banging on bad games is easy - I was shooting for a good one that I didn't like...

Oh, no you didn't! > No, I realize Aura isn't everyone's cup of tea. Abysmal characterization, writing, and story, but wonderful environments and some really good puzzles. At the time, it was the best Myst-like game to come along in some years in my opinion.

I confess, "being late to the party", I was a little bit suprised that no one has yet to posted this link.
