Status : Online | Although I didn't actually pay for them myself, I have over ten (!) CDs of shareware games - you know... those 5 dollar CDs with hundreds of shareware games they sell in jewel cases at Walmart...
The thing is, when people know you love computer games but they don't know anything about computer games themselves, they see these shareware CDs and think to themselves, "Oh boy! I can't believe szcax just payed forty dollars for a game last week when he could have gotten 250 games for five dollars! He sure would appreciate it so much if I got him two hundred and fifty computer games for his birthday!" You can probably figure out the rest of the story yourself.
I also have a copy of "Multimedia Strauss" (unopened) and "Multimedia Beethoven". I still wonder what sort of drug I was smoking the day I picked both of them up for $3 a piece

I played Zelenhgorm and got stuck and swore that I've read through the entire walkthrough but still can't find the solution, then my boyfriend read the same walkthrough I was refering and said, heres your answer! That's pretty embarassing all right. I could feel myself blushing.

STUPID INVADERS
Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of under-achievers! We're gonna stand up, and we're gonna be human beings. We're going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.

But that's far from the stupidest game I own.
Perhaps the game "Virus" or "Vangers"

I love playing stupid games (generally speaking) - Space Invaders, Galaga(!), Alley Cat, Pacman, Doom, ... but they don't make me feel embarrased. I know they're a bunch of crap but hey, they're fun
And then there was this game were someone said a particular phrase over and over again. Now, this one really embarrased me - actually, it made me feel like a dork. "No need to go down there!" (now how the hell did she know there was a stair behind those doors?! )

What was that SirFunk??? I can't hear you.....can you speak up? Erraaahhh....tick......wha?? Eraahtic Eye....Eye-land.....? Eraahtic I-land.....? Erotic Island......? OH! EROTIC ISLAND!!! I GET IT NOW! HE SAID "EROTIC ISLAND"! EROTIC ISLAND! Well, that sounds like a nice NC-17 pornographic game. Or did you try to convince yourself it was really like the show "Survivor" when you picked it up??

Status : Online | I just now realized when Godfather mentioned Doom that I not only have Doom, but I actually paid good hard-earned cash for Doom Screensavers. As if you didnt' get enough Doom and needed to see it when you're not even playing the game. It's awful...the screen is just a big blank pallete and the Doom characters are only about 2 inches tall, and if I remember correctly their limited to either the bottom or the top of the display. So you have a big blank display (although you could choose your colour, I believe) with teeny tiny little monsters at the top or bottom (but not both in the same scene) shooting at eachother. How exciting.

Status : Online | I don't really have any games myself that come to mind as embarrassing, but my friend bought Pyst, which was a "hilarious" parody of Myst. It took about 10 seconds to find out that what it actually was was a huge waste of money.
The big selling point according to the box was that John Goodman was in it as the king of Pyst Island  I guess that's supposed to mean he was Atrus). If you got to the end (which the makers made less difficult by the removal of all game elements from the game; it was more of a straight slideshow) you got to hear him sing a crappy song about the crappy game. And if you decide you *really* like the song (and may God have mercy on your soul if you do) you can put it in your cd player and listen to it that way too.
There were a couple of jokes in Pyst that were actually a little funny, but mostly it wasn't worth the time it took to find them. I don't remember how much my friend paid for that game, but however much it was, it was too much. Sadly, his copy of Pyst is no more, since I accidentally broke the disk.
No, really! It really was an accident! I swear!
He wasn't mad though. He actually seemed a bit relieved. :

I'm sure I own plenty of stupid games. One I can think of is called Animal. Subtitled Adventures of the Pepperoni or something like that. And no, it isn't an Erotica Island type of game!
Let's see, another really stupid game I just had to spend my hard earned bucks to own was Sacred Mirror of Kofun. Well, actually, maybe this game should go to the list of crappy games, not stupid games. What a waste of a perfectly good cd.
As far as action games go, I own Zombieville, which is incredibly stupid during the short periods that I can actually play the game before it crashes.
There's this other game I can't quite remember what it's name is. It's a FPS shooter called Something Island. Terror Island? Maybe that's it. I got it because I thought the box cover looked pretty cool. Well, that was the only cool part of it. It's so pathetic, I laugh just thinking about it.
