Status : Online | So, why all the shush about these guys? I know a lot of people didn't like The Whispered World, I played the demo and thought it was fine. Will probably get the full game soon.
Asidie from that, their Edna&Harvey brought me back to modern adventures, after years of playing solely the classics (not a bad thing, especially if that walk down memory lane involves wading through the entire Legend Entertainment (legendary indeed!) catalogue, sans the elusive Mission Critical ).
And of course, there's also...hmmm, now that I think about it, we didn't see many titles from them. I guess that's due to the localisation issue. The upcoming A New Beginning took years to be released in English, but it's happening now. Another title of theirs I've heard of is The Tudors, but I'm not sure whether or not there's an English version (I guess there isn't).
So I know there's no consensus about them, but maybe that's a good thing? There's nothing particulary revolutionary about them, but they do have high production values, plus I think what they did with E&H is innovative to a degree.

The worst thing I could say about it is that it had the potential to be an all time great game, but doesn't quite make it there due to some translation problems, and uneven puzzling.
And in the end (huge, huge spoiler, do not read if you haven't played the entire game)Spoiler Alert setting up the apparent choice of being able to choose between staying in the dream world, and returning to the real world, but giving the player only one choice in the end. I thought the story would have been especially poignant if they had written in two different endings based on what you choose there.

You're right, and actually in their other game, Edna&Harvey,
Spoiler Alertthere are two endings. I really wanted to see the other ending, and once the credits finished rolling I hurried to load the last saved game. That being said, I was hesitant about the other possible outcome, which is also the reason why I didn't even try shattering the other mirror first. It was sad and tragic enough seeing a boy confined to a hospital bed with tubes sticking out of him, so I wasn't exactly keen on watching him die, as I suppose would've been the outcome of choosing to return to The Whispered World
