I agree CrisGer. I'll never understand why people delete their accounts like this. Sad to see Masher go, we really enjoyed his posts! Either way we wish him the best.

I only saw this now, due to being away for a few days. I'm extremely sad to see you go, Masher. It was so nice to see you popping in from time to time.
I also deleted my account a while ago, and I've always regretted doing that.
What a pity.
I hope you decide to come back when you feel things are better suited for you, but I promise you, nobody will bat an eyelid or think it strange if you decide to re-register even in a few days time. I re-registered at JA scarcely a few days after deleting my account, and I must say that people here were very nice to me about the whole thing.
I understand too, that one sometimes needs to make a symbolic gesture like this for yourself, in order to signify some sort of finality.
I see you've already deleted, so there's no way of knowing if you're ok, but I do hope you are.
