NOTE: no replacement letter used. I think it's more fun to exhaust a word - take the same letters as far as you can go - and then, if you really need it, change a letter out.
Hope this makes sense. It seems to make the game a bit more difficult. Whaddya think, Terry, since we're the only ones keeping it going at the moment.

Maybe there's an Adventure game out there with a character named SIEMENS in it. Nevertheless, I can't come up with another word with the same letters, so:
SIEMENS becomes:
SIAMESE

You're right, Mark, the only proper names we can use, should be from adventure games. Heck, we can even make it place names from adventure games, or the name of a river or mountain from a game.. Can't think of a Siemens in a game. Maybe CB is doing some PR for them. :-? I can betya we could use Nokia, I seem to remember seeing the make of the phone one of the characters used, but Siemens? :-? Hmm, Siemens also makes phones. Maybe CB saw a game character using one.
MEASLES --->> PLEASES
Heavens Mark. Assmole sounds uncomfortable. Do you have one?

Mark is probably right about the German company but the only siemens in my dictionary refers to:
n., pl., siemens. (Abbr. S) A unit of electrical conductance equal to one ampere per volt.
My apologies. :'(

S = [ch937]¯¹ = A/B
Used as a unit of conductance, it's spelled the same way - siemens, lowercase - and in English, is both singular and plural.
LEASHES becomes:

Oops, no, we're the ones who should apologise, CB! :-[ I feel pretty embarassed, that not only have I shown myself to be ignorant, but I was in too much of a hurry to even check before I commented.
My profuse, profuse apologies. :-*

I presume that here we are talking about the Weasley family from Harry Potter. More action-adventure really than adventure, but hey, it's close enough. Action-adventure is also good. 8-)

In any case, WEASELY can become WEASELS. (Lame, I know.)

I did check, but only found weasly. Still, Ron Weasley should be fine.
