Better than Risen: No, but a lot longer and with more content. Both games are good though, and if you have the time, I would recommend both.

And no, you don't have to have played the first game. In fact, it feels like the devs did not play it (to the end) either. The game totally disregards both endings of Two worlds 1. Also, Two worlds 1 is one of those games that people seem to have very varied opinions about (I for one liked it, but it was not love at first sight, the was not very good from the get go), but if you can find it cheap somewhere (I payed 5€ for my copy of Two worlds Epic edition), then it might be worth picking up.

I agree with you about 2 Worlds 1, Fnord.  Hard to get into, but a nice gameworld opens up towards the end of the game.

Sadly I seem to have displaced my copy of 2W2 since I've had that system crash.  Oh well, nevermind for now. I've been wanting to test out a bunch of other games to see if they'll work in 7, anyway.  Will get to 2W2 in a week or 2.

I've played Risen, and finished it, and this 2 worlds 2 seems interesting.. And the graphic are rather good, actually. I just it's well optimized.

Yeas, I loved Risen very much too... It was nothing ground braking, it was simply a very fun game. The weird thing is that Gothic II bored me... I never finished it, while with Risen, I've never had a *sigh* moment.

I'd like to start this game up again these Xmas hols.  Never got past the start, and it started so promisingly.
