Also, two worlds 2 seem to be one of the few games where money is actually important, at least if you play as a mage. There are a lot of things to pay, so it is worth spending a bit of time gathering money. Also, weapons & armour that enemies drop is not worth a whole lot early on in the game. It is not until you get to the second large island that you do actually get more than a few coins for a sword.

I'm about 3/4 through and there is a diversity of enviornments but unfortunately no snow areas. What I've seen thus far:
1) Tropical Isle 2) African Savanna/plains 3) Swampland 4) Middle Eastern City 5) Asian City 6) Costal Areas

Just got to that last monster and they did a Risen on us.
Totally different end game game play knocked this game down from an A to a B. After (if) I beat this thing, the game is set up so you can still go to some of your unfinished quests. And that is the only reason I am going to try.
After some experimenting I discovererd that while you can not enter the main island you can completedly go around it via the coasts. Call me crazy but I would like to end my game with the Fog of War removed from all of the main island coast.
I wish I could find an exploit for this end game monster. I sure am tired of developers thinking this kind of world changing end game is a good thing.

Angel of Darkness Tomb Raider is the same way, the final boss is really unbeatable..but luckily there are save games for that one. No one plays anachronox any more so i have to get there on my own...with a lot of patience. good luck. Sorry to hear that Two Worlds 2 dropped the ball. the world does look nice. The opening fly over was very intriguing and I hope i get to see all those ships in person.

Status : Offline | Sorta wrapped up 2W2. I used a game cheat (invincible) and even then it still took me about 10 minutes to beat the monster. I think I could eventually beat it if I had the right type of practice to defeat the end boss but it was a total twitch affair at the end.
Just so ya know, my game reflexes are so lame, I typically can't get out of a space sim tutorial level. Yep - so wat ya gonna due.
In any event after the end boss and a couple movies you are thrown back into the game to finish up any quests.
But here is something I discovered. The bulk of the main island is basically reserved for multiplayer, however you can completely encircle the main island/coast with your single player and there are a number of surprises to be found if you explore. (this can also be done before the end game). I just about finished circling the Island but have moved on to Divinity 2.
Well due to the horrible, twitch affair end boss I have to knock the game down to a B+. I had a good time with Two Worlds 2, but the end game boss left a bitter after taste and last impressions can be most damning.

Ooh, well, you're in for a treat, I'd say. Sometime when i have time, I'll be restarting this game using the Dragon Knight Saga expansion pack.

Status : Offline | Sorry to hear that Dajjer, i still plan to put some time into Two Worlds 2 but i do find that many modern games even epic ones with amazingly beautiful worlds tend to be a bit thin in the plot story line department, i wish we had some of the great story spinners of 20 years ago like Tom Hall and others of the early game generations to play with modern game graphics....
can you still fire up multiplayer and get into the centre of the island on your own if you want to explore? i hate being forced into multi player to see a game... but just wondered.
Back when Far Cry was the cat's pajamas, there were enough great Single Player maps like the great Matto series Matto 4 is the BEST of them all, to enjoy without having to go into the multiplayer slash and bash sessions of virtual biker gang types... and you could still enjoy the beautiful game graphics without having to get into all of that fighitng.

I haven't played a multiplayer game in over 10 years, So I have no idea how it works with Two Worlds 2. But the main island is huge and going around the thing will take quite a while. As far as I can tell, when you are in single player mode you can not enter the main island. There are a number of spots along the coast where you can kinda sneak in, but when you get too far inland, you are thrown back on to the coast lands.

I read a review that says it's fun if you can get past the first bit... ?
You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here.

It is very nice - I haven't had time to play much of it, but why don't you wait a few weeks more? I'm sure when The Witcher 2 comes out, the price of this one will go down. [smiley=evil.gif]
I bought the first one for a song because I waited a bit.
