Status : Offline | Why would you wanna skip the dialogue? That's like the main reason to play ME .
I know on the xbox you can by pressing the same button you make the choice with. however you have to be careful because you can easily click through it and end up selecting a choice you didn't want to.
As far as Psych goes, neither is "better" per se, I'd just pick the one you like the most and find fitting for your vision of Shepard.
You mentioned in the other thread about playing ME1, are you using your saves?
A LOT of choices made in ME1 affect ME2 throughout the games (Even some small ones pop up). I'd suggest using your save if you backed it up or such.
If not then you can find some saves online and look through one to find one similar to your character and choices you made.

Status : Offline | Well, I only got some ways through ME1, because the game kept crashing on me, and I simply could not progress beyond the point where you save the scientist, because it kept crashing for me there.
The reason I want to skip dialogue is for replays. At this point I have a very silly reason for replaying..- I hate the way my Shepard looks.. :-[ Funny , when I play a man, I don't care how he looks, but when I play a female, I need her to look pretty. :-[
Anyway, the game forces you to restart right from the beginning if you need to change anything about your character, so...
Maybe i should start over with ME1, with my autosave disabled, and see if that works for the crashing. Ugh, but i really don't feel like slogging through those stupid "lock" mini-games again...
Thanks for your input, Stiler!

Status : Offline | I have ME2 now, but it wont start or wouldnt until i patched it. there was a fault with the original release and single core computers...and it would not progress past the first choices of the character sex and then the first load screen.... i patched but have not had a chance to return yet due to other work..i do have my saves from ME1 so i may try them to see if that helps.

What is the most interesting psych profile?
That depends:
If you want a paragon character take Spacer background War Hero Renegade - Earth-born - Ruthless Neutral - Colonist - Sole Survivor:
A imported ME1 character may have various benefits, for example if your character was rich at the end of ME1, you start with a lot of resources in ME2

I think this is actually a good thing, considering how rushed Dragon Age 2 came out. Maybe they want to make sure this time that they release a high-quality product without cutting corners.

Status : Offline | And EA has just made a rather disturbing statement about ME 3, saying they want to adjust the gameplay to appeal to larger audiences, making it a "shooter-meets-RPG". I'm confused, that sounds like what ME2 was. Just what is left to take away? I thought ME2 was quite disappointingly striped down in the RPG department as is.

| Deleted User | For me, Mass Effect is one of the very best game series I've played and will patiently wait however long it takes for the final title. I'm sure it will be awesome. Happy Gaming.

BioWare (or EA, if you will) have stated that Mass Effect may (or will) slip in its release date, possibly to early 2012. Personally - or hopefully? - they've taken a close look at the reception Dragon Age 2 got, with all their 'brilliant' ideas of streamlining and refinement to reach a broader audience, and are learning from their mistakes.
Total reach there, but possible, given the absolute perfection (IMO) ME2 was. If they're smart they'll stick as close to 'more of the same' with ME3, and not toy too much with trying to change gameplay enough to broaden the audience.
I'm so jaded with BW right now due to what they did to DA2 I'm a tad (just a small, small tad) nervous about them farting up ME3 in the same way. But my hopes are still high.
I'm with Masher that it's one of the very, very best game series as of late (if of all time) so it'll be crushing if they screw it up.
In closing: ME and ME2 rule!
Playing: Skyrim: Dragonborn/Dawnguard; Torchlight 2; To The Moon; Far Cry 3
Finished: HomeFront; Far Cry 3; Dishonored
Always Playing: Half Life 2
Looking Forward To: BioShock: Infinite
Reading: BioShock: Rapture; SW: Revan
