So I'll invest my money in real estate, once i've found other houses that i can buy

Now i'm stuck with an Spoiler Alertelder scroll that weighs 20 and i can't drop it because it's essential.

he never said he would give it for free, the girl waits at the entry of the castle until you buy that house

That bookcase is an interesitng idea, a custom container ready built.... i guess it can only show what there is space for.

Are there any dwarves in the game? I haven't seen any yet. I feel I'm missing out on some ornate underground temples replete with stout Dwarven craftsmen.

The dwarves are extinct in Elderscrolls lore.

Still, I think the game could have used dwarves or dwarf-like creatures given the mountainous setting, and the elves and cats feel sort of out of place, though I do like the cats and understand they are sort of immigrants. They remind me those cats from Quest for Glory in the desert.

Still, where there is money to be made, people will still go, and the Khajiit are no exception, so a large portion of the Khajiit you see in Skyrim are traders, or come from families who trade with the people of the north (I would also suspect that some are escaped slaves from Morrowind, or at least come from such an origin, as the Dunmer (Dark elves) still keep slaves, and consider the beast races to be little more than animals who they can use for labor).
I don't think the world has any fully sentient race that lives underground. Thought this, and the vast difference between standard fantasy elves and the elves of TES is, in part, what makes the setting different from most other high fantasy settings.

Status : Offline | I've encountered my first few dragons. The first, the dragon at the western tower, I slew, but the other two I've come across have been more powerful, and I don't feel up to tackling them just yet. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to find them again, though. I find myself with a pretty middling melee weapon, still, though triple damage with my bow and a decent sneak skil has given me enough of an edge against most enemies. I think I'll peruse shops for something nice and expensive, though.
I'm debating whether to pursue lycanthropy. It's never a path I took in Daggerfall, Morrowind or Oblivion, but here the opportunity has unexpectedly presented itself. I would appreciate some thoughts on the matter.
I cleared out a vampire den, and therein came across "Vampire Thralls". Naturally the first thought which entered my mind was "I will be your drill thrall." That aside it was a pretty standard evening in Skyrim. Yesterday I finished up the "tree" quest, taking Maurice Jondrelle the entire way. I had to reload a few times (once he was killed by a mudcrab! A mudcrab!), but much less than I'd have anticipated from a weak follower such as him. We mostly just avoided confrontation, yet still he would get lost as I climbed down slopes or jumped down low cliff and rises; once he disappeared upon touching a swift current of water, which was particularly disheartening. And the best part? Spoiler AlertHe did survive a brush with a dragon! Go figure.
Damn you, workday. I want to play some more!

You won't get a rested bonus, and I did not find the combat form to be all that useful (due to the horrendous 3rd person perspective combat), but it is nice to have the option to turn into a werewolf, for fun. You do become very powerful, but on the other hand, you can't do much more than fight, and your only option to heal yourself while you are in that form is to take a bite out of a fallen enemy (so it might be useful in encounters that are tricky because of the amount of enemies, though it is rather useless when you only face one or two hard enemies)

By the way, I just rewrote history. Well, not so much rewrote it as "improved upon it". Now the people of Skyrim will forever be stuck with the false history of how an evil king of old really was a nasty dragon. It was for a good cause though, we wanted to burn an effigy of the old king.

I have thought about buying a horse many times, but Skyrim isn't the verdant place with the lovely music that Oblivion is. This is a whole different experience, where you'd rather be tucked in bed and cozy than in the cold cities and frigid environs. Plus, you still have to hop off your horse to defend it against a wolf, etc. What a pain. You'd think at least spells would work. So I'll pass on the horse (and the Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, Cannibal clan, and other stuff) until I've completed a lot of other stuff and want something really different.
I can't WAIT for the mods. This game is such a ripe opportunity for modders.

Less impressed by the radiant quests.

It looks rather evil, and the guards keep telling me to get away from them when I have it equiped (even if it is not drawn)

Don't. I just did a quest where I made certain choices and got a horse for free. So, you can get one without stealing or shelling out 1k. I agree, horses aren't very fun, plus poor Faendal has to run like a fool behind me.
@Fnord, um, no idea... give it to your companion and see if anything bad happens to them? XD
@Ines, LOL amazing link. #1 cracked me up - it's funny and soooo true! I keep stealing pink floating jewel thingamajigs, although I am yet to find a use for them
@Traveller, I hope your surgery goes well! ♥ *hugs*
