Better than pictures have you checked the games trailers http://www.darkstar.gs/trailers-and-video/
There is also a review here http://diehardgamefan.com/2010/11/18/review-darkstar-the-interactive-movie-captains-box-pc/
Quotes from the Review: For most gamers reading this though, you’ll find Darkstar to be a return to the glory days of both Adventure and PC gaming. The time when actors like Dennis Hopper and Terri Garr happily did games like these. When Myst sold tens of millions of copies. When people anxiously awaited the next Gabriel Knight title. Darkstar wonderfully captures everything people loved about the golden age of PC gaming but also gives us high definition visuals and fully brings FMV into the modern era.
When all is said and done, Darkstar is one of the best indie games I have ever played in my thirty years of gaming. It’s one of the ten best games I have played in 2010. Most of all, it was well worth the wait and then some. Don’t let this thing pass you by simply because it doesn’t have a multi-million dollar ad budget. You’ve been warned.
I particularly liked this one. Listen to what Peter Graves is saying...has a new meaning since he passed not to long ago. http://www.darkstar.gs/alternate-ending-sneak-peak.htm

| Deleted User | I recall seeing an ad for this game "arkside" thinking back somewhere and it did really catch my attention at the moment. Anyhow. every once in a while I think it's good to try something a little different. Why not?? Placed my order earlier this week and I will plan to start sharing pics and my opinions on this interesting title very soon. I'm guessing Saturday at the latest based on delivery expectations.

I have heard great things about the 2 CD soundtrack and the Official Guide at that alone would have been worth it. Add in all the other goodies (some of which you have a choice of) plus the autographs and you have a great collectors piece.

I have been playing these games for a long time and I wouldn't put DarkStar in the genre of action/adventure. It is all adventure to me the way they used to be. Sure there are places that you can die when you do something you shouldn't. The best part of dieing in DarkStar is the cut scene that follows with Peter Graves narrating your doom. There are no mini games that test your action skills. There are a couple of places with timed sequences but they aren't all that difficult. The problem solving/puzzles are not on the hard side, more medium to easy but they are all fit into the story and are part of the environment.

Different camera angles, sudden pans showcasing the main hero, lots and lots of video footage whatever you do. You don't even need to do anything meaningful to feel like in a movie - just walking around and exploring is enough.

We do indeed ship outside the US, half of our orders are overseas, plus we do sell on Amazon!

I bought your game outright just on the premises of being a new, large FMV adventure, which I so love and miss. Thanks for making another one.
I got the digital download, but now that I really love the game and want to support future efforts, I might also buy the special edition. Didn't think that it was shipped internationally.
Again, thanks for doing a true FMV again. I hope many more are to follow. From you and others.

| Deleted User | Just finished my first play session aptly titled "Prologue." It took me a while as I wanted to make sure I had seen everything I could and get used to the controls. As far as FMV games go, I have to say IMHO, this one is smooth. Excellent.
Something is telling me that I really shouldn't press EVAC at this point, but I'm always tempted to try all actions that are available to me.
The best part of dieing in DarkStar is the cut scene that follows with Peter Graves narrating your doom. What....oh...yeah...ok.
General Notes:
The version of Quick Time that was supplied with the game didn't work for me. Missing QTCF.dll or something. Uninstalled it and re-installed the latest version from the net and problem solved.
The music and sound effects are awesome but unfortunately I had to turn them down considerably in order to hear the dialogue.
The depictions and schematics of Westwick in the DarkStar book are OK, but what I would give for a nice full color poster to hang on the wall. 8-) Perhaps it is included in the Deluxe Collector's box of which I wasn't even aware of.

Any chance you intend on offering a DarkStar Artbook that comes as part of the game as a full cover booklet instead of the PDF version?

Our new partner Lace Mamba out of London plans to offer many cool items in a very special platinum edition. Stay tuned, we're still figuring out what's going to be in it. Be sure to go to our facebook page and suggest ideas...you have no idea how often fan ideas get implemented.
